Class A Coastal

No. 13 Freehold Boro 41, Long Branch 31

Junior Brian Tassey scored 13 points to go with 10 rebounds and three blocks as the Colonials (10-4, 4-3) beat the Green Wave (2-13, 1-7) in a defensive-minded showdown.

Senior Peter Da Cruz led Long Branch with 11 points, 15 rebounds and four blocked shots.

 

Class B Coastal

Ranney 57, Neptune 52

Senior Drew Buck pumped in a game-high 28 points while nabbing four steals as the Panthers (8-7, 5-4) chipped away at an early deficit to pull out a win over the Scarlet Fliers (1-16, 1-8).

Junior MeSean Williams contributed 12 points, 3 assists and three steals for Ranney, which fell behind, 17-11, after one quarter and won it with a 17-10 fourth quarter run.

Junior Jayden Myrthill led a balanced Neptune offense with 13 points, while junior Darren Fonrose pitched in 11 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Jayvion Rodgers added nine points and senior Aaron Lawson and junior Cam Stukes chipped in eight apiece, with Lawson also contributing 11 rebounds and four assists.

No. 1 St. Rose 58, Wall 24

Senior Matt Hodge and sophomore brother Jayde Hodge each scored 16 points and the Purple Roses (17-1, 9-0) used a dominant third quarter to bury the Crimson Knights (6-9, 3-6).

Jayden Hodge also posted 10 rebounds and five assists, while Matt had five rebounds and four assists. Senior Gio Panzini added nine points and five rebounds and freshman Avery Lynch netted eight points for St. Rose, which outscored Wall, 26-2, in the third quarter after leading, 25-11, at halftime.

Class A Central

Point Beach 52, Henry Hudson 43

Senior John Coakley scored 12 of his game-high 18 points in the first half to go with nine rebounds and three assists and the Garnet Gulls (7-7, 4-2) never trailed in a key division win over the Admirals (14-2, 6-2), snapping Henry Hudson's 10-game winning streak.

Sophomore Jacob Edgecomb added 16 points and four assists for Point Beach, which stormed out to a 27-11 lead and used a 13-1 run during the third quarter to go up 42-29 after Henry Hudson cut the lead to one with a 17-2 surge of its own.

Junior Jack Fitzpatrick led Henry Hudson with 15 points, with 10 coming during the second quarter. Senior Jeremy Way added 10 points in the loss.

 

Non-Conference

No. 9 Marlboro 54, Princeton 44

Senior Dan Elmasri scored 18 points and classmate Steve Scimone added 17 as the Mustangs (8-6) topped the Little Tigers (6-6).

Freshman Nolan Gong also poured in 14 points for Marlboro.

Toms River East 50, New Egypt 38

Senior Jason McKelvey scored 19 points to go with five rebounds and the Raiders (8-7) rolled to a win over the Warriors (5-8) behind a 28-8 run that spanned the second half.

Freshman Gabe Feliciano added 10 points and senior Jackson Markovitch pitched in seven points, five assists and three steals for Toms River East.

Allentown at No. 15 Howell -- Canceled
