CLASS A NORTH

No. 4 CBA 9, Colts Neck 4

Senior attackman Nick Casner scored twice with three assists and junior attackman Robbie Hermansen had a hat trick with one assist to lead the Colts (5-5, 5-0) past the Cougars (5-8, 3-4).

Luke Valentino added two goals, Ryan Madalone had a goal and two assists and Mike Carroll scored once for CBA. Ryan McGuiness made six saves.

Colin Scalea, Rich Kemble, Dean Posner, Collin Vill and Dan San Fillippo scored for Colts Neck while Mike Franco made 12 saves.

 

No. 5 Freehold Township 20, Neptune 5

Senior attackman Josh Nastarowicz reached 100 career goals by scoring four times while also adding two assists as the Patriots (8-4, 4-1) overpowered the Scarlet Fliers (2-9, 1-5).

Senior attackman Drew Dunn led all players with two goals and seven assists while defenseman Shawn Poole had a career day with a hat trick for Freehold Township. Freshman Brendan Doel scored a career-high five goals wth one assist, Matt Graybush scored twice and Kyle Von Nessen and Billy Sebor each tallied their first career goals. Senior midfielder Mike Colicchia also scored once. Billy Patten (5 saves) and Tom Laskey (2 saves) split time in goal.

Tyler Rossi, Kevin Clohosey, Nick Brown and Lucas Cancemi each scored for Neptune.

 

CLASS B NORTH

Red Bank Catholic 10, Red Bank 9 (OT)

Senior midfielder Joey Caputo scored three times with one assist, including the game-winning goal in overtime, to lift the Caseys (4-9, 3-5) to a thrilling victory over the rival Bucs (1-12, 1-5).

Jack Kapcsos tallied two goals with three assists, Jack Zenkert had two goals and one assist and Zach Fleming also scored twice for Red Bank Catholic. Sebastian Pena scored once and Colin Marshall made 16 saves.

Dan Bonanno had two goals and two assists and Seamus Cochrane had two goals and one assist to lead Red Bank. Matt Gibson made 14 saves, Will Spencer and Tyler Wark notched a goal and an assist each and Kent Hottman and Pat Karr each scored once.

 

CLASS B SOUTH

No. 1 Manasquan 17, St. Rose 1

The Warriors (12-1) jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back on their way to defeating the Purple Roses (8-5) for their eighth straight victory.

Sophomore attackman Canyon Birch sank seven goals with two assists, senior attackman Joe Tonkovich had two goals and five assists and senior attackman Jarrett Birch had two goals and four assists for Manasquan. Sophomore attackman Ryan Anderson had a hat trick, senior midfielder John Moran had three assists and senior midfielder Devan Carroll tallied a goal and an assist. Senior midfielder Pat Felstedt and sophomore midfielder James Pendergist each scored once. Senior Tom Pollock (4 saves) and sophomore Mike LaPoint (2 saves) split time in goal.

Senior attackman Griffin McDermott scored the lone goal for St. Rose and senior goalie Robbie Brugnoli made 14 saves.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

Toms River East 14, No. 10 Middletown South 12

Matt Gannon erupted for five goals and four assists and Nick Price added two goals and three assists as the Raiders (6-6) knocked off the Eagles (7-3) for their sixth win in their last seven games.

Ben Cagno scored twice with two assists and Tyler Budrow made 14 saves for Toms River East. Lou Gallo IV, Evan Otten and Alex Smith each had a goal and an assist while Otten had 11 ground balls and Gallo had nine ground balls. Dillon Clark and Salvatore Esposito scored once each and Kohler Wagner dished out two assists.

Pete Lawson, Alex Madden and Pat Walsh each scored three times while Zach Albrecht, Noah Diodato and Mike Gallicchio each scored once in the loss for Middletown South.

 

Lacey 12, Brick 6

Senior midfielder Connor Wilson had a hat trick and junior attackman JoeCarlo Chimenti had a goal plus six assists to power the Lions (7-3) in their victory over the Dragons (5-8).

Mike Sabarese, Dylan Vitale and Chris Augustine each scored twice while Justin Covey made 15 saves for Lacey. Ryan Giles had a goal and an assist and Clayton Humcke also scored once.

Rich Cosgrive and Nick D'Eufemia each scored twice and Tyler Palmer made 11 saves for Brick.

 

Jackson Memorial 9, Donovan Catholic 5

Freshman midfielder Aaron Hutchinson had a hat trick with one assist and sophomore attackman Santo Porazzo also scored three times to lead the Jaguars (9-3) past the Griffins (4-4) for their fifth straight win.

Senior attackman Dakota Neron had a goal and an assist while senior attackman John Chitren and junior midfielder Robert Stiuso each scored once for Jackson. Junior defenseman Sean Duggan continued to contribute on the offensive end with a pair of assists to go along with a game-high five ground balls. Senior goalie Dylan Furnback made seven saves to earn the win.

Hunter MacPherson and Trevor Barber each scored twice while Andrew Schlendorf tallied a goal and an assist for Donovan Catholic. Peter Rao made six saves.

 

Shore 10, Jackson Liberty 8

Sophomore midfielder Jake Turner scored three goals with two assists, sophomore midfielder Gil Goldsmith had two goals and one assist and sophomore midfielder Jack McCrae had a goal and three assists to lead the Blue Devils (9-4) to a victory over the Lions (0-15).

The game was tied at five heading into the fourth quarter before Shore pulled ahead, 10-7. Junior attackman Ryan Morris scored once to reach 100 career points, senior midfielder Josh Campi sank a pair of goals and senior Lukas Jackey scored once. Jack Brignola made 16 saves.

Gavi Ferullo had a hat trick, Tommy Ferullo notched two goals and two assists and Sean Reid made 11 saves for Jackson Liberty. Dylan O'Connor, Max Matthies and Brad McKelvey each scored once.

 

Toms River South 14, Middletown North 13

Anthony Alvarez scored five goals plus two assists, Timmy Kaiser had four goals and three assists and John Debuduo made 19 saves as the Indians (4-6) edged the Lions (2-11).

Ethan Lucas tallied two goals and four assists, Cooper Guzzi had a goal and two assists and Declan Mullin and Andrew Xiques each scored once for Toms River South.

 

Marlboro 16, Barnegat 4

 

NONCONFERENCE

Somerville 13, No. 7 St. John Vianney 10

Senior midfielder Ryan Gilfillan reach 100 career goals with three goals and one assist and senior attackman Andrew Porretta led the Lancers (7-7) with three goals and three assists in a loss to the Pioneers (6-8).

Freshman midfielder Matt Franzoni added two goals and one assist and freshman midfielder Anthony Brett tallied one goal and one assist. Senior attackman Chris Kelly scored once and senior attackman Tino D'Amore had two assists. Sophomore goalie C.J. Hanson made 17 saves and junior LSM James Guilbert picked up seven ground balls.

 

Haddon Township 9, Point Boro 7

Tanner Gordon notched two goals and one assist and Trevor McNamara also scored twice in the loss for the Panthers (5-9).

Point Boro led 6-5 heading into the fourth quarter, but the Hawks (3-7) rallied with four goals in the final period. Kyler Rossi and Liam Connelly each finished with one goal and one assist for Point Boro, while Nash McLean scored once and Parker Roncin made 16 saves.

 

Allentown 12, Toms River North 9

Andrew Lombardi had a hat trick with one assist and Noah Squires made 13 saves in the loss for the Mariners (6-7).

Brandon Indelicato added two goals and two assists, Ben Singer scored twice and Ian Briggs had one goal and one assist.
