Class A North

No. 4 CBA 15, Marlboro 4

Shay Walscak scored a game-high four goals and added one assist and Nick Casner scored twice with four assists to lead the Colts (9-3, 5-1) to victory over the Mustangs (1-7, 0-5).

Mike Carroll had a hat trick and two assists and Nick Gazzillo had a hat trick with one assist for CBA. John Salcedo finished with a goal and three assists and Matt Marra and Cologialo Mascara also struck for the Colts. Evan Bynoe (three saves) and Ryan McGuiness (two saves) combined to earn the win in goal.

 

Class A South

Lacey 14, Toms River South 3

Senior attackman Tim Gleason scored four goals and added two assists and senior midfielder Dan MCAvoy had a hat trick and three assists to power the Lions (8-4, 3-2) over the Indians (2-8, 1-4). Senior attackman Lucas Sirotniak added two goals and two assists and senior attackman Kiernan Quinn had a goal and three assists.

Sophomore midfielder Connor Wilson scored twice, junior midfielder Ryan Mahon had a goal and two assists and senior midfielder Scott Muso also tallied for Lacey. Junior goalie Mike Trezza made 12 saves to pick up the win.

Senior LSM Pat Toal had a goal and an assist for Toms River South while sophomore attackman A.J. Alvarez and sophomore midfielder Ethan Lucas also scored.

 

Class B South

Donovan Catholic 14, Point Boro 9

Pete Schlendorf erupted for eight goals and Alex Rosario dished out six assists to send the Griffins (4-7, 1-2) past the Panthers (1-11, 0-3). Will Baltus finished with two goals and three assists and Hunter MacPherson also scored twice. Mike Guthneck added a goal and an assist and Matt Isaacs also scored. Alex Kolvakov made 15 saves.

 

Nondivisional

No. 6 Freehold Township 13, Red Bank 7

 

No. 7 Red Bank Catholic 13, Brick 3

Julian Esposito fired in four goals, Alec Mintz scored a hat trick with two assists and James Mele also scored three times to lead the Caseys (8-2) past the Dragons (7-5). Tim Barile added two goals and three assists and Matt Benjamin made 13 saves.

 

St. Rose 7, Brick Memorial 6

Freshman Shane Reilly scored with three minutes left in regulation to complete the comeback for the Purple Roses (4-8), who trailed 6-4 to the Mustangs (4-6)  in the fourth quarter. Reilly and Griffin McDermott each scored twice while Matt Frost, Scott Dimmit and William Frost also sank goals. Robbie Brugnoli made nine saves.

Bailey Sharpe and Billy Porter each scored twice for Brick Memorial, Dylan Visser and Zack Morton scored once and Chris Sayers made 11 saves.

 

St. John Vianney 8, Wall 2

Senior Matt Adelfio led the Lancers' attack with five goals and one assist and D.J. Soriano led a superb defensive effort with 16 saves as SJV stopped the Crimson Knights (8-3) in Holmdel.

Ryan Gilfillan scored twice and Andrew Poretta had a goal and two assists for the Lancers (5-7). Senior LSM Kyle Boyle picked up a game-high 10 ground balls.

Mike Steppe and Mike McIntyre scored for Wall and Zach Harrell made 10 saves.

 

Shore 10, Middletown North 9

Chris Johnsen scored a game-high four goals and Doug Goldsmith had two goals, two assists and 12 ground balls. as the Blue Devils (5-7) raced out to a 7-2 halftime lead and held on to defeat the Lions (8-6).

Jack Britton also scored twice and picked up eight ground balls, while Ryan Morris and Max Sobrano also found the back of the net. Hunter Avallone made nine saves.

Ryan Aker and Chris Fisher each finished with two goals and one assist for Middletown North. Justin Russo also scored twice, and Tom Terranova finished with a goal and two assists. Bryan Flannigan had a goal and an assist and Brock Zenker also scored. Kevin Powers stopped 10 shots.

 

Nonconference

No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven 6, Princeton 5 (4OT)

Junior attackman Henry Sillen scored with 32 seconds left in the fourth overtime period to give the Bulldogs (7-5) a dramatic victory over the Tigers (4-7). Sillen scored twice, as did junior attackman Robbie Garavente, who tied the score four five in the third quarter. Garavente also had two assists. Ryan Tuorto and Colin Pavluk also scored for Rumson and Kyle Knapp made eight saves.

 

Middletown South 7, North Brunswick 5

 

Hightstown 11, Jackson Memorial 8

Senior attackman Troy Wolf hit a milestone in a loss to the Rams (7-4) by scoring four goals to reach 100 for his career. He also had a pair of assists. Justin Mayer, Zack Tetro, Eric Quaranta and Jimmy Grimaldi also scored for the Jaguars (4-7) while Dylan Furnback made 16 saves.

 

Old Bridge 12, Colts Neck 6

Union City 11, Neptune 9
