Shore Conference Girls Soccer Week 2 Shore 16

1. Freehold Township (4-0) Previous Rank: 1 - The Patriots won a non-divisional game against No. 7 Wall 4-1 last week. Senior Hailey Santiago continues to stay hot, scoring her sixth and seventh goals of the season. Freehold Township has a busy week with three games on the schedule. Monday they face Brick Township in Shore Conference Tournament Group 1 and Wednesday they face No. 9 Marlboro in Class A North action. Saturday, they play in The Mountains vs. The Sea event against the fifth ranked team in New Jersey, Rutgers Prep, at 11 a.m. 

2. Manalapan (3-0) Previous Rank: 2 - The Braves earned two Class A North wins this week against two ranked teams. They defeated No. 9 Howell 2-0 and followed that by defeating No. 6 Middletown South 4-3 in overtime. Senior Vanessa Sarf scored three goals this week, bringing her total to six on the season. Manalapan plays four games this week, two being SCT Group 6 play against No. 15 Ocean Township and Raritan. The Braves also face off against Middletown North in Class A North action on Wednesday. They end the week Saturday in The Mountains vs. The Sea Event against Hunterdon Central. 

3. Red Bank Catholic (3-0) Previous Rank: 3 - RBC won two games last week, one against the Hun school in a non-conference matchup and then against Red Bank Regional, 4-2, in Class A Central matchup. The Caseys play two SCT Group 5 games this week, Monday against Middletown North and Friday against Manchester Township. Wednesday, they face Rumson-Fair Haven in a Class A Central game. Saturday, RBC plays Hillsborough in The Mountains vs The Sea Event. 

4. Brick Memorial (3-1) Previous Rank: 4 -  The Mustangs won two division games in Class A South this past week, defeating Southern 6-0 and Toms River North 3-0. Junior Giselle Lizardi earned her first two shutouts of her career. Brick Memorial has two SCT Group 5 games this week, Monday against Manchester and Saturday against Middletown North. Wednesday they play cross-town rivals Brick Township.

5. Central Regional (4-0) Previous Rank: 5 - Central Regional won two Class A South games this week, defeating both No. 11 Jackson Memorial and Toms River East 3-2. Senior Laura Woermer picked up game-winning goals in both games. The Golden Eagles play Ranney and Manasquan in SCT Group 7 this week and Toms River South on Wednesday in a Class A South match. 

6. Middletown South (1-2) Previous Rank: 6 - Both losses for the Eagles have come against the No.1 and No. 2 teams in the Shore Conference. They lost to Manalapan in overtime 4-3 after tying the game with three minutes left in regulation. Middletown South plays No. 14 Point Beach Monday in SCT Group 4 action and Wednesday they play No. 11 Howell in a Class A North match. Saturday, they play in The Mountains vs. The Sea Event against Ridge. 

7. Wall (2-1) Previous Rank: 7 - Wall split its games this week, first defeating Shore Regional in a Class A Central game, 3-1. The Knights lost later in the week to No. 1 Freehold Township, 4-1. Wall plays two SCT Group 8 games this week against Jackson Liberty on Monday and Long Branch on Friday. Wednesday they play a division game at home against Red Bank Regional and Saturday they are in The Mountains vs. The Sea event against Somerville. 

8. Point Pleasant Boro (3-0-1) Previous Rank: 8 - The Panthers won two Class B South games last week, defeating Lacey 7-2 and Donovan Catholic 3-0. Senior Kyleigh Cilento scored three goals in the week for Point Boro. Point Boro faces Matawan on Monday and Keyport on Thursday in SCT Group 10 games. Wednesday, they travel to Lakewood in a division game.

9. Marlboro (4-0) Previous Rank: 14 - Marlboro has been the biggest mover to start the season. The Mustangs started the season unranked and have climbed into the top ten. They won two Class A North games last week, upsetting No. 10 St. John Vianney 2-1 in overtime and defeated Middletown North 3-2. Marlboro plays at Toms River North Monday and home to St. Rose on Saturday in SCT Group 2 play.  Wednesday they travel to No. 1 Freehold Township in a division game. 

10. Jackson Memorial (3-1) Previous Rank: 11 - The Jaguars lost a back-and-forth game to No. 5 Central Regional 3-2 last week and bounced back by defeating Brick Township 2-0 in Class A South action. Jackson Memorial has a busy week playing Donovan Catholic and Monmouth Regional in SCT Group 3 action. Wednesday they host Toms River East in a division game and Saturday they are in The Mountains vs. The Sea event against Watchung Hills. 

11. Howell (1-3) Previous Rank: 9 - Howell played the hardest schedule to open the season, facing four top 10 teams. Last week they lost to No. 2 Manalapan 2-0, but picked up their first win of the season against No. 10 St. John Vianney in overtime, 1-0. Freshman Makenzie Memmolo has had a great start to her career, scoring all four goals for Howell this season. Howell plays Long Branch on Monday in a SCT Group 8 matchup and Wednesday they travel to No. 6 Middletown South in a divisional game. Saturday they play Pingry in The Mountains vs. The Sea event. 

12. Manasquan (1-1-1) Previous Rank: 12 - Manasquan won its first game of the season against Neptune 7-0 last week and battled previously unranked Trinity Hall to a 0-0 draw in Class B North action. The Warriors host SJV Monday and travel to Central Regional on Friday in SCT Group 7 action. Wednesday, they host No. 15 Ocean Township in a divisional game. 

13. Trinity Hall (2-0-1) Previous Rank: Not Ranked - Trinity Hall defeated No. 13 Ocean Township 1-0  and battled No. 12 Manasquan to a 0-0 draw in Class B North games. They ended the week by defeating St. Rose 5-1 in a non divisional game. Trinity Hall plays Lakewood on Monday and Southern on Saturday in SCT Group 9 action. Thursday they host Freehold Boro in a divisional game.

14. Point Beach (3-0) Previous Rank: 15 -.Point Beach won both games last week 6-0, defeating Asbury Park in a Class B Central match and Donovan Catholic in a non-divisional game. This week they face No. 6 Middletown South and Toms River South in SCT Group 4 play. Wednesday they host Monmouth Regional, who is tied with the Gulls for first place in B Central. 

15.  Ocean Township (3-1) Previous Rank: 13 - Ocean lost a Class B North game to previously unranked Trinity Hall 1-0. They rebounded by defeating Colts Neck 4-0 in division play. Ocean has one its hardest weeks of the season hosting No. 2 Manalapan and traveling to Toms River East in SCT Group 6 play and traveling to No. 12 Manasquan on Wednesday in a divisional game. 

16.  Monmouth Regional (3-0) Previous Rank: Not Ranked - Monmouth entered the Shore 16 after winning two Class B Central games last week. They defeated St. Rose 2-1 in overtime and defeated Long Branch 6-0. The Falcons travel to Colts Neck on Monday and Jackson Memorial on Friday in SCT Group 3 action. Wednesday they travel to face Class B Central co-leader No. 14 Point Beach.
