Shore Conference Tournament Group Play

Group 1 

No. 1 Freehold Township 4,  Shore Regional 0 

Senior Hailey Sanitago scored two goals, giving her four in the early season, as Freehold Township shut out Shore Regional 4-0 in SCT Group 1 action. Senior Cassidy Corcione scored her first goal since returning from injury and junior Danielle Howard scored.

 

Group 2

Marlboro 8, Pinelands 0

Marlboro had six different goal scorers as they shutout Pinelands in Group 2 of the SCT. Sophomore Isabella Huettner scored two goals and had one assist and junior Jada Padmore also added two goals for the Mustangs. 

 

Group 3

No.11 Jackson Memorial 2, Colts Neck 1

Jackson Memorial won their first game of the season and in SCT Group 3, defeating Colts Neck 2-1. Sophomore Julie Ifantis scored early for the Jaguars with a shot that floated over Colts Neck senior goalkeeper Mia Nikolic. Sophomore Faith Moroney scored the game winner for the Jaguars off a cross from freshman Madison Fagliarone in the 66th minute. Colts Neck junior Olivia Gehman scored the equalizer in the first half.

 

Group 4

No. 16 Point Beach 4, Freehold Boro 0

Point Beach picked up an opening SCT Group play victory, blanking Freehold Boro 4-0. Sophomore Bailegh Johnson scored a hat trick for the Gulls.

No. 6 Middletown South 4, No. 15 Toms River South 0

Sophomore Bea Tinoco scored two goals for Middletown South and senior Camryn Szotak had a goal and three assists for the Eagles as they shutout Toms River South 4-0 in SCT Group 4. 

 

Group 5

No. 4 Red Bank Catholic 2, No. 7 Brick Memorial 1

RBC scored two goals in the first half and held on to defeat Brick Memorial 2-1 in Group 5. Senior Iva Carton had both assists for the Caseys, the first one to senior Emily Beyer and the final one to sophomore Paige Foye.  Senior Gabby Hernandez scored in the final five minutes for the Mustangs to put pressure on RBC, but the Caseys were able to close out the game.   

 

Group 6

Ocean Township 4, Raritan 0 

Ocean picks up a 4-0 shutout win in SCT Group 6 against Raritan. Senior Natalie Feinger scored two goals for the Spartans and junior Isabella Santucci and freshman Mia Fiorentino both added one.

 

No. 2 Manalapan 3, Toms River East 0

Senior Vanessa Sarf starts the year off with a hat trick for Manalapan as they blank Toms River east 3-0 in SCT Group 6. Senior Emma Guidotti earned a shutout for the Braves in her first game back from injury.

 

Group 7

No. 8 Central Regional 3,  No. 9 St. John Vianney 2 OT

 

Group 8

No. 10 Wall 3, No. 3 Howell (OT)

Wall picked up a hard fought game in Group 8 of the SCT, 3-2 over Howell. Sophomore Madison Miller scored two goals, including the game winner in overtime and junior transfer Samantha Brett was able to put one in off a corner kick. Freshman Makenzie Memmolo scored both of Howell’s goals, giving her three on the season. 

Jackson Liberty 6, Long Branch 2

Jackson Liberty opened up SCT Group 8 with a 6-2 win over Long Branch behind junior Delaney Spalthoff’s hat trick. Sophomores Lily Russo and Samantha Grueiro and freshman Ali Zambor all added goals for the Lions. 

 

Group 10

No. 5 Point Boro 3, Holmdel 0

Senior Kyleigh Cilento scored two goals and assisted on the third as Point Boro defeated Holmdel in Group 10 of the SCT. Junior Ava Bjorndahl had eight saves in the shutout. 

 

Group 11

No. 11 Lacey 3, Red Bank 2

Lacey rebounded off an open day loss and defeated RBR 3-2 in SCT Group 11. Junior Mackenzie Brotherston scored two goals and junior Natalie McGovern added another for the Lions. Senior goalkeeper Lorynn Leporino saved a penalty kick in the second half to help Lacey secure the win.
