Girls Basketball – Week 5 Player of the Week Voted by the Fans: Karleigh Aber

Girls Basketball Week 5 Player of the Week voted by the fans and presented by Thrive Spine and Sports Rehab.

Week 4 - 1/15/24 to 1/21/24

Karleigh Aber, Middletown North

Aber posted her first double-double of the season and a career-high in points to help Middletown North defeat Toms River East and snap a four game losing streak. Her play led her to be  voted by the fans as player of the week.

Against Toms River East, Aber scored a career-high 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Her 14 points was a team-high in the victory. Earlier in the week she scored 6 points and grabbed 8 rebounds against Trinity Hall, who is ranked No. 5 in the Shore 16 rankings.

Aber received 33.7 percent of the votes casted for the Week 5 fan voted Player of the Week award. Manchester’s Madeline Nolan finished in second with 23 percent of the vote and Freehold Township’s Madison Sciarrino finished in third with 18.2 percent of the vote.

Each fan voted Player of the Week will receive one recovery session at Thrive Spine and Sports Rehab.
