Manalapan 62, No. 15 Jackson Memorial 53

Senior Anthony Leger scored 24 points and went a clean 8-for-8 from the free-throw line as the Braves (5-3) topped the Jaguars (4-3).

Freshman Joey Farino threw in 16 points and junior Aiden Sosinov poured in 10 for Manalapan.

Senior Devin Jones scored 15 points and junior Brady Adams added 13 to lead Jackson Memorial.

No. 12 Marlboro 65, Neptune 30

Freshman Nolan Gong scored a game-high 19 points with five three-pointers and the Mustangs (4-3) handled the Scarlet Fliers (0-8) for their third straight win.

Senior Steve Scimone added 14 points, senior Brave Haugh chipped in 11 and senior Dan Elmasri contributed nine for Marlboro.

Cam Stukes led Neptune with six points on a pair of three-pointers.

No. 9 Colts Neck 89, Jackson Liberty 49

Senior Vova Trotsko scored a career-high 31 points and the Cougars (5-2) rolled to a win over the Lions (0-8).

Senior Mike Belcher added 17 points and junior Dan Buoncore netted 10 for Colts Neck.

Junior Lukas Latvys led Jackson Liberty with 17 points.

No. 14 Southern 57, Long Branch 42

Junior Jake Sliwinski scored 18 points to go with four steals and the Rams (5-3) took down the Green Wave (0-7).

Freshman Noah Perna added 13 points and eight rebounds, junior Rich Flores threw in 10 points, and senior Caden Schubiger pitched in five points, eight assists and five steals for Southern.

Senior Peter Da Cruz led Long Branch with a game-high 23 points.

No. 13 Central 62, No. 7 Ranney 46

Junior Jaycen Santucci posted 28 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and three blocked shots to spark the Golden Eagles (5-3) to a convincing win over the Panthers (5-2).

Senior Miles Chevalier also poured in 20 points for Central while also contributing 14 rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Senior Drew Buck led Ranney with 19 points and six rebounds.

Middletown North 59, Matawan 56

Senior Jason Quardt scored nine of Middletown North's last 11 points and assisted the other basket during that stretch to help the Lions (4-4) close out a road win over the Huskies (1-7).

Quardt hit the go-ahead basket while falling to the ground to make it 52-51 with 1:40 left in the game, then hit junior teammate Colin Byrne in transition for a 54-51 lead on the next possession. Middletown North did not surrender the lead the rest of the way, but the Huskies did get a three-point look to tie the game that misses the mark as time expired.

Junior Amir Martinez led Matawan with 21 points and hit a go-ahead shot to give the Huskies a 50-48 lead before Quardt came back with a pair of game-tying free throws. Junior Chauncey Brown also netted 18 points for the Huskies.

 

Non-Conference

Freehold Twp. 63, Allentown 56

Junior Nick Cardone scored all of his game-high 16 points in the first half, but the Patriots (6-2) did most of their damage in third quarter, outscoring the Redbirds (1-6), 25-8, in the third to take control and win the game.

Junior Jordan Dulnuan scored all 10 of his points in the second half to go with four assists and three steals, while senior Andrew Silverman pitched in 12 points, five rebounds and four assists for Freehold Township.

Senior Brandon Norero also pitched in nine points, five rebounds and three steals while junior Sean Harris added eight points and three assists in the win.

Henry Hudson 64, College Achieve Central 42

Junior Jack Fitzpatrick pumped in 23 points and the Admirals (7-1) continued their hot start by rolling through College Achieve Central (0-3).

Freshman JoJo Newell also threw in 11 points for Henry Hudson.
