North Crossover

No. 4 Red Bank 62, No. 16 Howell 58 (OT)

Senior Jameson Ackerman scored 23 points, junior teammate Zayier Dean poured in 21 and each had a crucial block to help the Bucs (8-1, 3-0) preserve an overtime home win over the Rebels (5-4, 1-1).

Ackerman connected on five three-pointers and blocked a layup attempt as time expired in regulation with the score tied, 56-56.

Dean scored 10 points in the fourth quarter and overtime and after missing a pair of free throws that could have iced the game, the 5-foot-10 guard got back on defense and blocked a layup attempt by 6-6 Howell forward D.J. Orloff.

Senior Braydon Kirkpatrick added 11 points and junior Ryan Fisher netter seven for Red Bank, which built up a 14-point first-half lead before Howell came roaring back.

Orloff led the Rebels with 19 points and junior Zach Padilla pitched in 13. Junior Joe Vella scored nine on three-three-pointers and senior Chris Meehan threw in seven, including the game-tying layup with 20 seconds left in regulation.

 

South Crossover

No. 2 Toms River North 67, Brick 36

Seniors Micah Ford and Jeremiah Pruitt scored 12 points each and the Mariners (7-2, 3-0) topped the Green Dragons (0-9, 0-3) with 10 players scoring at least once.

Senior Tareq Council, sophomore Bryce Kazanowsky and senior transfer Sean Irby-Gathers each had eight points, with Kazanowsky and Irby-Gathers each pulling in double-digit rebounds.

Junior Jayden Johnson led Brick with 13 points.

No. 15 Jackson Memorial 45, Pinelands 29

Senior Matt Pitera led a balanced scoring effort with nine points on 3-for-4 shooting from beyond the arc and the Jaguars (5-3, 3-0) rolled to a win over the Wildcats (1-6, 0-3).

Sophomore Jimmy Pappalardo added eight points, senior Devin Jones threw in seven and junior Brady Adams handed out seven assists to go with five points.

Junior Ty Kline led Pinelands with a game-high 11 points.

Barnegat 47, Brick Memorial 42

Junior Mason Krey hit five three-pointers and finished with 23 points to lead the Bengals (4-5, 1-2) to a road win over the Mustangs (2-6, 0-3).

Senior Jabari Smith added 14 points while knocking down three threes for Barnegat.

Sophomore Sean Collins led Brick Memorial with 12 points and three steals and junior Joe Witter added nine points in the loss.

No. 14 Southern 61, Manchester 53

Sophomore Jake Sliwinski posted 22 points, seven rebounds and seven assists to lead the Rams (6-3, 2-1) to a road win over the Hawks (4-5, 1-2).

Junior Cooper Dempsey added 15 points and hit three three-pointers, while freshman Noah Perna pitched in 11 points and seven rebounds for Southern.

Senior Jaymire Watts led Manchester with 19 points, junior teammate Aidan Lunn added 14 and junior M.J. Goins pitched in nine in the loss.

Toms River East 52, Lacey 48

Senior Jason McKelvey scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds as the Raiders (5-3, 3-0) rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to top the Lions (3-4, 1-2).

Senior Steve Scorsone added 14 points and six rebounds and senior Jackson Markovitch led the defensive effort with six steals.

Junior Jon Stabile led Lacey with 22 points and 14 rebounds.

No. 13 Central 52, No. 11 Toms River South 23

Junior Jaycen Santucci outscored the entire Toms River South team, pumping in 30 points while also adding 12 rebounds, three assists as the Golden Eagles (6-3, 3-0) shut down the Indians (6-3, 1-2).

Senior Miles Chevalier added 12 points, 10 rebounds and three assists for Central. Senior Kai Barckley led Toms River South with seven points.

Coastal Crossover

No. 3 Manasquan 59, Freehold Boro 25

Junior Griffin Linstra scored 19 points while grabbing 13 rebounds to help lead the Warriors (7-1, 3-0) to a road win over the Colonials (4-3, 1-2).

Freshman Rey Weinseimer added 11 points and sophomore Jack O'Reilly pitched in eight for Manasquan.

Junior Brian Tassey led Freehold Boro with 11 points and nine rebounds.

No. 1 St. Rose 78, Raritan 37

Senior Matt Hodge scored all 18 of his points in the first half and the Purple Roses (8-1, 3-0) handled the Rockets (0-8, 0-3).

Sophomore Jayden Hodge and senior Gio Panzini each added 12 for St. Rose, which put up 54 points in the first half.

Sophomore Cameron Gabloff led Raritan with 16 points.

 

Central Crossover

Shore 57, Asbury Park 12

Senior Joe Santi scored 15 points and the Blue Devils (7-1, 2-1) cruise to a win over the Blue Bishops (0-8, 0-2). Senior Dom DiFiore and sophomore Finn Watson each added eight for Shore.

Lakewood 54, Keansburg 52

Junior Rahmel Anderson scored 20 points and a made a game-winning play on either end of the floor in the final minute to help the Piners (3-3, 2-1) put away the Titans (1-7, 0-4) on the road.

Anderson scored the tiebreaking basket in the final minute and came up with a steal in the final seconds to help Lakewood run out the clock.

Henry Hudson 41, Monmouth 34

Junior Jack Fitzpatrick scored a game-high 19 points and the Admirals (8-1, 2-1) battled past the Falcons (5-2, 2-1) in a showdown vs. one-loss teams.

Fitzpatrick scored eight of his points in the third quarter and his lone basket of the fourth was a jumper that gave Henry Hudson a 32-30 lead it would not give back.

Sophomore Mike Fitzpatrick added 10 points on 10-for-11 shooting from the foul line, including 8-for-9 in the fourth to help seal the victory. Freshman JoJo Newell led the rebounding effort with 14 to go with his three points.

Sophomore Michael Griffin led Monmouth with 10 points off the bench and junior James Curley added eight while battling foul trouble, ultimately fouling out with 4:20 left in the game.

Point Beach 54, Ocean 49 (2 OT)

Sophomore Jacob Edgecomb scored 10 of his 25 points in the two overtime periods and the Garnet Gulls (6-2, 3-1) prevailed with a win over the Spartans (3-5, 1-2).

The teams traded baskets through the first overtime and into the second before Edgecomb gave Point Beach the lead with a steal-and-score to make it 49-47. He then closed the game out on the free-throw line.

Sophomore Aidan Saint Louis matched Edgecomb with 25 points to lead Ocean, which erased a 16-point second-half deficit to push the game into overtime. Senior Keith Allen also scored 11 points in the loss.

Donovan Catholic 78, Keyport 52

Seniors Jack Malek and Matt Gerrity each scored 18 points and the Griffins (7-2, 3-0) rolled to a win over the Red Raiders (2-3, 1-1).

Junior Ryan Jacobs added nine points, while senior James Gibbons and freshman Amare Walker each added eight for Donovan Catholic.
