Toms River South coach Ed Leibe saw a lot of his team in host and No. 1 seed Ocean City: a defensive team with an opportunistic group of scorers. For 60 minutes, the mirror image held true until the Red Raiders showed why they are the defending NJSIAA South Jersey Group III champions.

Ocean City broke through in the 61st minute to break a scoreless tie and tacked on a score in the 73rd with Toms River South pushing forward to win 2-0 and capture its second straight South Jersey Group III crown.

Donnie Vanmeter scored the game's first goal 60:23 into the game and Aaron King put the game on ice with a goal at 72:22. The two-goal deficit was too much to overcome for the Indians playing against an Ocean City team that has allowed only 11 goals all season.

Ocean City will take on Central Jersey Group III champion and 2012 Group III co-champion Princeton in the Group III semifinals on Tuesday at Toms River North at 7 p.m. The Red Raiders lost to Allentown - Princeton's Mercer County rival - in the Group III semifinals last season.
