Every week this spring, WindMill Restaurants and Shore Sports Network will be teaming up to select a Lacrosse Team of the Week based on its performance over the past week.

The WindMill Team of the Week for Week 2 is Red Bank, which picked up a ranked win over a Shore Conference Class B North opponent and then earned a solid nonconference victory to extend its winning streak to three games. Shore Sports Network stopped by practice on Thursday to present the Bucs and head coach Andy Eastwood with a Team of the Week certificate and a WindMill gift card.

Red Bank began its season with an 8-5 win over Old Bridge but suffered a 17-7 loss to No. 5 Shore Regional two days later. It was a disappointing result for the Bucs, but they regrouped in their next game to get back on track. A 13-8 win over Monroe concluded their opening week and set the stage for Week 2.

On April 12, Red Bank, ranked No. 9 in the Shore Sports Network Top 10, used four goals and one assist from senior midfielder Henry Spencer to defeat No. 7 Holmdel, 9-6, rebounding from their prior loss in a ranked matchup. Senior midfielder Ryder Villani added two goals and one assist, freshman attackman Gabe Pape scored twice, and sophomore Jack Tavares scored once. Senior goalie Gavin Lisko had an excellent game with 19 saves to help stymie the Hornets' offense.

Three days later, the Bucs scored a 12-9 victory over Princeton. Senior midfielder Andrew Pape led the way with three goals and three assists, Spencer had three goals and one assist, Villani tallied two goals and one assist, and Lisko made 12 saves to lead the way.

Red Bank is now 4-1 on the season leading into a rivalry game on Thursday afternoon vs. Red Bank Catholic. The Bucs will close out Week 3 with a home game vs. Allentown on Saturday morning.
