Each week during the remainder of the Shore Conference girls basketball season, Shore Sports Network will present multiple weekly awards for Player of the Week and give the fans the opportunity to vote for the overall player of the week.

Below are the Players of the Week in each of the eight Shore Conference divisions, plus two wild cards. Read about their performances during the stretch of games from Feb. 5 through Feb. 11 and vote for the players who stood out as the Thrive Shore Conference Player of the Week.

Vote once per hour until the poll closes at 10 p.m. on Friday. The winner will be posted on Thursday and will receive a free recovery session courtesy of Thrive Spine and Sports Rehab.

 

Player of the Week Fan Vote

 

Amanda MacGregor, Middletown South

MacGregor scored a season-high 20 points to help Middletown South advance into the Shore Conference Coaches Cup semifinals against Long Branch. She went 11 out of 14 from the foul-line in a 46-42 victory for the Lady Eagles.

 

Madison Kocis, St. John Vianney 

Kocis is catching fire at the right time for SJV. In the second round of the SCT against Colts Neck she tied a season-high 16 points. In the quarterfinals she knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 12 points to help SJV defeat RBR 43-35 and advance into the SCT semifinals.

 

Aileen Carr, Wall

The soccer star had two big games for Wall in the SCT. In the opening round she scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds against Point Beach. In the second round Carr posted a double-double, 17 points and 12 rebounds, against Rumson. Carr had a dominant 3rd quarter, scoring 9 of her 17 points.

 

Zoe Gulley, Red Bank Regional

Gulley knocked down a season-high six 3-pointers and season-high 20 points to help RBR come back from an 11 point deficit in the 3rd quarter to defeat Manchester 47-44 in the second round of the SCT.

 

Sylvie Notine, Rumson-Fair Haven

Notine scored a season-high 16 points in the second round of the SCT to help Rumson defeat Wall 54-45. Notine scored 11 of Rumson’s 23 first half points by attacking the basket for points in the paint. She followed that with 12 points against No. 2 St. John Vianney.

 

Reece Paget, Lacey

Paget posted two double-doubles to help Lacey make it to the semifinal round of the Shore Conference Coaches Cup. In the opening round she scored 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in a win against Brick Township. Paget followed that with 12 points and 11 rebounds against Keyport. She knocked down three 3-pointers in that game.

 

Hope Masonius, Manasquan

Masonius hit several big shots down the stretch in the quarterfinal round to lift Manasquan over St. Rose 44-43. She finished with 13 points but scored the game winner in the final minute of the game. In the second round she scored a game-high 22 points and knocked down four 3-pointers against Ranney.

 

Tessa Carman, Red Bank Catholic

Carman posted a double-double in the second round of the SCT against Jackson Memorial. She posted 14 points, shooting 6 out of 7 from the foul-line, and grabed 12 rebounds. She followed that with a season-high 18 points against Albertus Magnus (NY) in a non-conference game.
