Every week this fall, Shore Sports Network will be selecting its own Shore Conference football players of the week on offense, defense, and special teams in addition to selecting those award-winners for each of the Shore's seven divisions. Our poll also returns to allow the fans to make their choice as to who they feel should be the conference's offensive and defensive players of the week.

Read through each player's accomplishments for the week and cast your votes. This week's poll features the top playoff performers of the week and will close on Wednesday at 10 p.m.

OFFENSE

Matt Cassidy, Sr., RB, Marlboro

Cassidy had a great all-around game in the Mustangs' 26-16 win over South Brunswick in the first round of the South Jersey Group 5 playoffs, rushing for 129 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries and recording a team-high 13 tackles.

 

Jake Croce, Sr., RB, Point Boro

Croce ran for 182 yards and five touchdowns on just eight carries to lead the Panthers to a 55-7 victory over Spotswood in the first round of the Central Jersey Group 2 playoffs.

 

Connor Dietz, Sr., QB, Brick Memorial

Dietz completed 14 of 18 passes for 202 yards and one touchdown to become Brick Memorial's all-time leading passer and also ran for 188 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries to power the 10-0 Mustangs to a 41-7 win over Moorestown in the first round of the Central Jersey Group 4 playoffs. He also had a big game on defense with four tackles for loss.

 

Jaylen Gill-Anderson, Jr., WR, Freehold Township

Gill-Anderson caught four passes for 111 yards in Freehold Township's thrilling 21-20 comeback win over previously undefeated North Brunswick in the first round of the Central Jersey Group 5 playoffs.

 

Matt Iulo, Jr., RB, Holmdel

Iulo ran for 109 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries when the unbeaten Hornets defeated Matawan, 21-7, in the first round of the Central Jersey Group 3 playoffs.

 

Owen O'Toole, Jr., QB, Rumson-Fair Haven

O'Toole completed 14 of 19 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to a 47-13 win over Delaware Valley in the first round of the South Jersey Group 2 playoffs.

 

Chris Scully, Sr., RB, Colts Neck

The Shore Conference's leading rusher among running backs, Scully ran for 195 yards and four touchdowns in 19 carries to help power the Cougars to a 41-0 win over Toms River South in the first round of the South Jersey Group 4 playoffs. He has 1,567 yards and 24 touchdowns on the season.

 

Julian Walthall, Sr., RB, Manasquan

Walthall ran for 101 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, scoring on a 31-yard run late in the fourth quarter to propel Manasquan to a dramatic 14-13 win over Somerville in the first round of the South Jersey Group 3 playoffs.

 

 

 

DEFENSE

Sebastian Andujar, Sr., LB, Freehold Township

Andujar posted a team-high eight tackles and recorded three tackles for loss to help lead Freehold Township to a dramatic 21-20 win over previously unbeaten North Brunswick in the first round of the Central Jersey Group 5 playoffs.

 

 

Davin Brewton, Sr., LB, Red Bank Catholic

The University of Pittsburgh-bound senior standout recorded 14 total tackles with one sack and three tackles for loss in RBC's 14-7 win over Donovan Catholic that clinched both the American Division title and the No. 1 ranking in the Shore.

 

Mike Consolazio, Sr., LB, Marlboro

Consolazio was in on five tackles and recorded two tackles for loss in Marlboro's 26-16 win over South Brunswick in the first round of the South Jersey Group 5 playoffs. He also caught three passes for 48 yards and a touchdown.

 

Joseph Corley, Jr., LB, Long Branch

Corley had four tackles for loss when Long Branch shut down Jackson Memorial and its potent rushing attack, 13-0, in the first round of the Central Jersey Group 4 playoffs.

 

Owen Dewysockie, Sr., LB, Point Boro

Dewysockie recorded seven total tackles, two tackles for loss, and an interception when the Panthers defeated Spotswood, 55-7, in the first round of the Central Jersey Group 2 playoffs.

 

Jack Harris, So., DL, Rumson-Fair Haven

Harris had three tackles for loss and a forced fumble in Rumson's 47-13 win over Delaware Valley in the South Jersey Group 2 quarterfinals.

 

Matt Howard, So., DE, Jackson Memorial

The Jaguars fell to Long Branch, 13-0, in the first round of the Central Jersey Group 4 playoffs but the defense played well and held its eighth opponent to 14 points or less. Howard recorded three tackles for loss and finished with nine total tackles.

 

Eric Loueiro, Sr., DE, Colts Neck

Loueiro recorded 10 tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss, a fumble recovery, and a blocked punt that led to a touchdown when Colts Neck shut out Toms River South, 41-0, in the first round of the South Jersey Group 4 playoffs.

 

Noah Mammeri, Sr., LB, Manasquan

Mammeri posted five total tackles with two tackles for loss, an interception, and a forced fumble to help Manasquan hold Somerville's offense in check during a 14-13 win in the first round of the South Jersey Group 3 playoffs.

 

Evan Savarese, Jr., DT, Holmdel

Savarese recorded 2.5 tackles for loss among his five total tackles during Holmdel's 21-7 win over Matawan that improved the Hornets' record to 9-0 and sent them to the Central Jersey Group 3 semifinals.

 

Tommy Schroeder, Jr., LB, Shore

Schroeder made 11 tackles, forced a fumble, and recovered a fumble to lead a balanced defensive effort in the Blue Devils' 14-0 win over Clayton in the first round of the Central Jersey Group 1 playoffs.

 

Trey Tallmadge, So., LB, Brick Memorial

Tallmadge recorded a team-high 14 tackles (12 solo) with three tackles for loss and an interception in Brick Memorial's 41-7 win over Moorestown in the first round of the Central Jersey Group 4 playoffs.
