Shore Conference Coaches Cup

Quarterfinals

No. 3 Middletown North 7, No. 11 St. Rose 3

Junior Jayme Malanda scored two goals to bring her season total to 13 on the season and added an assist as Middletown North advanced into the Coaches Cup semifinals. Junior Brooke Fischer added two goals and freshman Sofia Chaknis scored the first goal of her career for Middletown North. Junior Molly Cullen scored two goals for St. Rose to lead the team with six goals. 

Middletown North will travel and play the No. 2 seed Ocean Township on Thursday.

 

Regular Season

Class B Central

Point Beach 7, Keyport 0

Sophomore Baileigh Johnson scored a hat trick for Point Beach, which finished undefeated in Class B Central. Junior Mackenzie Highland posted her eighth shutout of the season.

 

Class B South

No. 16 Manchester 2, Donovan Catholic 0

Freshman Madeline Nolan scored in her fifth straight game as Manchester defeated Donovan Catholic in a Class B South matchup. Nolan scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season and junior Emma Edwards added another goal for Manchester.

 

Non Divisional

Lacey 2, No. 14 Jackson Memorial 1 (OT)

Junior Natalie McGovern scored the golden goal eight minutes into overtime to lift Lacey over Jackson Memorial. McGovern scored her 17th goal of the season and Mackenzie Brotherston scored her 16th goal of the season in the first half to tie the game. Senior Renee Wanzor scored her 13th goal of the season for Jackson Memorial.

 

Barnegat 7, Neptune 1

Sophomore Elizabeth Medina and freshman Jayla Duff both scored two goals to help Barnegat win a non-divisional game against Neptune. Senior Kassandra Doty had a goal and an assist on senior day for Barnegat. Senior Kaitlyn Hankins scored her 19th goal of the season to lead the Shore Conference. 

 

No. 9 Red Bank Catholic 2, No. 11 Marlboro 1

Senior Iva Carton scored a goal in each half to give RBC a non-divisional win against Marlboro. Seniors Mia Gonzalez and Ashley Inacio both had assists for the Caseys. Junior Brooke Gordon scored her sixth goal of the season for Marlboro.

 

Monmouth 3, Holmdel 1 

 

No. 12 Brick Memorial 3, Toms River North

Seniors Gabby Hernandez and Mia Caruso had a goal and an assist to help Brick Memorial defeat rival Toms River North for the second time this season. Senior Chloe Gellici scored her team high 10th goal on the season for the Mustangs. Junior Giselle Lizardi once again came up with several difficult saves to close out the game for Brick Memorial. Senior Kayle Nagle scored for Toms River North.
