Girls soccer is starting to take shape with veteran leadership kicking in to high gear.  Colts Neck with the return of Frankie Tagliaferri from her US U17 training camp looks to be the team everyone is chasing now at the Shore Conference.  While Shore, Rumson Fair Haven, Wall and Toms River South continue to climb up the pecking order.

Shore Sports Network Girl's Soccer Top 10:

1-Colts Neck (8-0-1, 5-0-1)...Colts Neck continues to roll along in B-North.  The Cougars went 3-0 this week against division opponents scoring 12 goals and posting 3 shutouts.  Frankie Tagliaferri and and Bridgette King are tied for the team in goals scored with 13 a piece.

2-Rumson Fair Haven (7-1-1, 4-0-1)...After an opening day loss to Ocean Township, the Bulldogs have been on a mission going 7-0-1 to finish September.  During this stretch they have outscored their opponents 41 goals for and 6 goals against with 6 shutouts.  Grace Forsyth and Grace Karagjozi lead the team with 10 and 9 goals respectively.

3-Shore Regional (6-2-1, 4-0-0)...Outside of Rumson Fair Haven, no team has been on a tear more then Shore Regional.  Following two straight losses to start the season, the Blue Devils are riding a 7-0-1 streak that includes 3 shutouts and 37 goals for and 7 goals against.  Freshman's Frankie McDonough and Hannah Birdsall are tied with the team lead in goals with 8 a piece.

4-Freehold Township (6-1-1, 4-1-1)...An up and down week for the Patriots as the battled cross-town rival Freehold Boro to a 1-1 draw and then lost their first game of the season to division opponent Howell 1-0.  The Patriots still remain on top of A-North with a slim lead over Manalapan who they beat 3-2 and will face again on 10/19/15.

5-Manalapan (5-1-0, 5-1-0)...The Braves have quietly put together a 5-1 record and sit behind Freehold Twp for the top spot in A-North.  Arianna Ferraro and Ariella Kaplan lead the team in scoring with 13 goals and 8 assists combined.

6-Wall Township (7-3-0, 5-2-0)...Following opening day losses to Toms River North and Ocean Township, the Knights have found their grove and have compiled a record of 5-1 since.  Their lone loss was a 1-0 loss to Colts Neck.

7-Toms River East (7-1-0, 6-1-0)...With their lone loss coming at the hands of Toms River North, the Raiders are off to a fast start in A-South.  Jillian Conklin, Kaitlin Lister and Shea Holland are leading the way with 5 goals a piece.

8-Toms River North (6-1-2, 4-1-2)...After a 6-0-1 start that included four straight shut outs to start the season, the Mariners have tied Southern 1-1 and lost to Toms River South 2-1.  The Mariners still are in the hunt for the A-South crown and face Brick Memorial, Toms River East and Toms River South one more time each in the coming weeks.

9-Holmdel (5-2-0, 4-1-)...Don't count out the State Champions from a year ago.  The Hornets struggled for consistency early on but have found their way over the past couple of weeks and are riding a 3 game win streak.  They will battle Rumson Fair Haven for A-Central with another battle with the Bulldogs on 10/8/15.

10-Point Pleasant Boro (8-1-0, 7-0-0)...No team has been quieter in their progression through this season then the Point Pleasant Boro Panthers.  With their lone loss to Ocean Township, the Panthers sit at 8-1 with 31 goals for and 5 against.  Devon Wondolowski leads the charge on offense for Point Pleasant with 12 goals and 5 assists.

Honorable Mention: Toms River South (5-2-0, 5-1-0), Saint John Vianney (6-3-1, 3-2-1) and Howell (5-3-0, 4-3-0).
