Central Jersey Group IV

(1) Freehold Twp. 9, (16) West Windsor-Plainsboro South 0

Cassidy Corcione scored two goals within a minute of one another on the way to a hat trick as the Patriots handled the Pirates to advance to Friday’s sectional quarterfinals against No. 8 Jackson Memorial.

Kayla Wong, Ainsley Moy and Kelsey Gilroy each notched a goal and an assist for Freehold Township, Hailey Santiago, Shea Jackson and Sophie Tonino each scored a goal and Danielle Howard and Vic Kiste each chipped in two assists in the win.

(8) Jackson Memorial 2, (9) Hillsborough 1

Kate Bryant scored the golden goal in overtime and the Jaguars rallied from a one-goal deficit to upend the Raiders and earn a shot at No. 1 Freehold Township in Friday’s sectional quarterfinals.

Victoria Pungello extended the game with a free-kick equalizer for Jackson Memorial after Sophia Iovino gave Hillsborough the lead.

(12) Marlboro 1, (5) North Brunswick 0

Angela Dinh scored the lone goal of the game in the second half and the Marlboro defense and goalkeeper Ashley Horowitz made it stand up in a round-one win over the Raiders. With Tuesday’s road win, Marlboro moves on to face No. 4 Manalapan in the sectional quarterfinals on Friday.

(4) Manalapan 1, (13) Howell 0

Kasey Resker scored off a pass from Arianna Kelly midway through the first half and the Manalapan defense and goalkeeper Sydney Kwartin finished the job as the Braves blanked the Rebels to earn a quarterfinal match with No. 12 Marlboro on Friday.

(7) Old Bridge 1, (10) Middletown South 0

Ava Morales scored in the middle of the second half and the Knights pulled out a win over the Eagles, with goalkeeper Isabella Ludovico turning back 14 Middletown South shots on goal. Old Bridge will take on No. 2 Rancocas Valley in Friday’s sectional quarterfinals.

 

Central Jersey Group III

(4) Colts Neck 1, (13) Matawan 0

Isabella Marcinkiewicz scored the golden goal off a pass from Carys Gardiner and the Cougars pulled out an extra-time win over the Huskies to advance to Friday’s sectional quarterfinals against No. 5 Northern Burlington.

(3) Brick Memorial 4, (14) Middletown North 0

Lexi Caruso scored the game’s first two goals and assisted one by Gabby Hernandez as the Mustangs scored four times in the first half to bury the Lions early.

Mackenzie Fanning assisted the first goal of the game by Caruso in the fourth minute and also scored in the 27th to extend Brick Memorial’s lead to 3-0. Fanning’s goal came less than four minutes after Caruso made it 2-0 and Hernandez capped the scoring in the 32nd.

(6) Steinert 1, (11) Brick 0

Arianna Ryder converted the game’s lone goal off a pass from Julianna Ryder in the second half and the Spartans edged the Green Dragons to earn a sectional quarterfinal trip to play No. 3 Brick Memorial.

(10) Red Bank 2, (7) Jackson Liberty 1

Ellie Lynch scored the second of her two goals in the eighth minute of overtime and the Bucs knocked off the Lions to reach the sectional quarterfinals Friday at No. 2 Hopewell Valley.

Lynch opened the scoring in the fifth minute before Seanna Boan equalized for Jackson Liberty in the 21st.

(2) Hopewell Valley 1, (15) Freehold Boro 0

Kate Tillman scored the game-winner in the second half and the Bulldogs fought off an upset bid from the Colonials to advance to the sectional quarterfinals Friday vs. No. 10 Red Bank.

 

Central Jersey Group II

(8) Wall 2, (9) A.L. Johnson 0

Rory Paris scored two first-half goals and the Crimson Knights blanked the Crusaders to advance to a sectional quarterfinal date with top-seeded Metuchen. Paris knocked in a cross from Kiersten Brown and later added a penalty kick to complete the scoring.

(4) Point Boro 3, (13) Raritan 0

Madison Bjorndahl scored a goal in each half and Anna McCourt added a goal and an assist to lead the Panthers over the Rockets and into Friday’s sectional semifinals against No. 12 Delran.

McCourt opened the scoring in the ninth minute and set up Bjorndahl’s first goal, which she finished in the 24th. Bjorndahl capped the scoring with a goal in the first minute of the second half.

(14) Manasquan 6, (3) Spotswood 1

Erin Driscoll and Ava Chiarella each scored two goals and Driscoll added a pair of assists as the Warriors scored a resounding first-round road win over the Chargers to advance to the sectional quarterfinals Friday at No. 11 Delaware Valley.

Chiarella scored in both the 15th and 25th minutes to stake Manasquan to a 2-0 lead and Maeve Reilly and Driscoll each scored before the half to put the Warriors ahead, 4-1, heading to the break. Driscoll assisted a goal by Lily Carhart in the 45th minute, then capped the scoring in the 57th.

(7) Rumson-Fair Haven 5, (10) Bordentown 1

Katie Aglione posted a hat trick and Sam Cesario contributed a goal and two assists to fuel a win by the Bulldogs over the Scotties.

Janey Sypeck chipped in a goal and Chapin Memmott assisted a pair of goals for Rumson, which will travel to play No. 2 Holmdel in Friday’s sectional quarterfinals.

(2) Holmdel 9, (15) Ocean 2

Katie Vassilakos went off for a hat trick and two assists to highlight a Hornets rout of the Spartans that sets up a rematch with Class A Central rival Rumson-Fair Haven in Friday’s sectional quarterfinal round.

Alexandra Wojie scored twice, Taylor Bielan added a goal and two assists and Mia Giamanco dished out three assists in the win. Julia Kolbasovsky added a goal and an assist, while Kayla Bielan and Syndie Nied each pitched in a goal for Holmdel.

Abigail Desmarais scored both Ocean goals.

 

Central Jersey Group I

(4) Point Beach 9, (13) Riverside 0

Gabby Kirchner scored three goals in the first 13 minutes the Garnet Gulls overpowered the Rams to reach the sectional quarterfinals Friday against No. 5 Middlesex.

Elisa Crivelli assisted two of the goals by Kirchner and also scored the fourth Point Beach goal to make it 4-0 in the 25th. Izzy Kuron and Rachel Arzt each scored before halftime and Summer DePaul, Samantha Miles and Izzy Lee each added a goal after intermission.

 

South Jersey Group IV

(1) Toms River North 4, (16) Cherry Hill East 0

Madison DeEugenio scored a pair of goals and Alexis Garcia added another as the Mariners used a three-goal first half to put away the Cougars early. Toms River North, which also scored on an own goal, will host No. 9 Central in Friday’s sectional quarterfinal.

(9) Central 3, (8) Washington Twp. 1

Ashley Baker and Samantha Versnel each scored a goal and assisted another to spark a second-half explosion that propelled the Golden Eagles past the Minutemaids.

Emma Harmon also added a goal in the three-goal second half for Central, which earned a trip to top-seeded Toms River North in Friday’s sectional quarterfinal round.

(10) Cherokee 2, (7) Toms River East 1

Lizzie Gillen scored in the first minute of the match off a pass from Kelleen Sullivan, but the Chiefs responded before the half and won it on a golden goal by Aly Mascolo in the ninth minute of overtime. Cherokee will take on No. 2 Eastern in Friday’s sectional quarterfinal.

(4) Millville 4, (13) Southern 0

 

South Jersey Group III

(3) Lacey 2, (14) Hammonton 0

Marly Besser opened the scoring in the 34th minute and Avery Johnson put the game away in the 66th off a pass from Ava Forde as the Lions blanked the Blue Devils to advance to Friday’s sectional quarterfinals against No. 6 Triton.

(6) Triton 2, (11) Toms River South 1

Rylee Spakowski scored in the second half in an effort to ignite a comeback effort by the Indians, but first-half goals by Rebekah Shepkosky and Jenna Kolacz were enough for the Mustangs to advance to Friday’s sectional quarterfinals at No. 3 Lacey.

 

South Jersey Group II

(1) Sterling 6, (16) Pinelands 0

(5) Middle Twp. 4, (12) Barnegat 0

(3) Haddonfield 5, (14) Manchester 0

 

South Jersey Non-Public A

(3) St. John Vianney 2, (14) Union Catholic 0

Julianna Perrette scored in the ninth minute off a pass from Sophia Gambale and Ally Ouano added a penalty kick midway through the second half to help lift the Lancers to a win over the Vikings. St. John Vianney will host No. 11 Our Lady of Mercy in Friday’s sectional quarterfinal.

(10) Trinity Hall 5, (7) Camden Catholic 2

Alexandra Popham recorded a hat trick and the Monarchs exploded for three second-half goals to run away with a win over the Irish.

Kayline McCarthy and Aubrey Scoble each scored a goal and Sanan Gueyikian assisted a pair for Trinity Hall, which won its first game on its first try playing in the Non-Public A section of South Jersey. The Monarch move on to face No. 2 Notre Dame Friday in the sectional quarterfinal.
