The Basketball Player of the Week has been a staple of Shore Sports Network's coverage over the years and we have always left it up to the fans to decide the winner -- and still do. Now, SSN is recognizing its own choices for Player of the Week, not just in the Shore Conference, but in Monmouth and Ocean Counties individually.

Ocean County’s Week 4 Player of the Week Presented by AOSMI

Riley Nausedas, Brick Township

Nausedas has raised the level of her play since the new year, scoring double-digits in five consecutive games for Brick Township. Last week she averaged 17 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.5 steals to be named Ocean County Player of the Week.

In a 48-46 overtime defeat to Toms River South, Nausedas scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds and had 5 assists. She had a season-high 4 steals on the defensive end of the floor.

In a low scoring battle against cross town rival Brick Memorial, Nausedas scored a team-high 11 points in a 25-22 victory for the Dragons. She also played well on the defensive side of the floor, grabbing 5 rebounds, blocking 1 shot and having 1 steal.

Each Ocean County Player of the Week will receive a $10 gift card courtesy of Surf Taco.
