Girls Basketball – Week 3 Ocean County Player of the Week: Megan Sias

The Basketball Player of the Week has been a staple of Shore Sports Network's coverage over the years and we have always left it up to the fans to decide the winner -- and still do. Now, SSN is recognizing its own choices for Player of the Week, not just in the Shore Conference, but in Monmouth and Ocean Counties individually.

Ocean County’s Week 3 Player of the Week Presented by AOSMI 

Megan Sias, Toms River North 

Sias, who was injured on opening day, has returned to form to help Toms River North get back on track and win two of their three games last week. Sias averaged a double-double during the week, 17 points and 14 rebounds a game and ended the week with a triple-double.

Sias started the week scoring a career-high 25 points against No. 10 Holmdel and grabbed 12 points in the defeat. She helped the Mariners win their second game of the season scoring 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds against Brick Township.

Sias ended the week posting a triple-double against WOBM Christmas Classic winners Central Regional in a 29-27 victory. She finished with 10 points, 16 rebounds and a career-high 11 blocks.
