Junior Alex Lamattina delivered a game-winning RBI single with two out in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Rockets (8-2) edged the Seraphs (4-4) to advance to the MCT round of 16. Raritan will face No. 7 Ocean on April 29.

Holmdel 8, St. John Vianney 4
Sophomore Brandon Saghafi allowed one unearned run on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over five innings and the Hornets (4-5, 4-3) backed him up at the plate in a win over the Lancers (3-5, 2-5). Saghafi threw 97 pitches and left with an 8-1 lead.
Junior Sal Monticciolo led the offense by going 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored and three RBI.
Gerardo Rivera-Colon was 4-for-4 with an RBI for Vianney and Sebi Bellone went 2-for-2 in the loss.
Matawan 5, Red Bank 3
The Huskies (8-3, 6-1) plated four unearned runs in the fourth inning and beat the Bucs (4-5, 2-5) despite collecting just one hit against Red Bank starter Mason O'Mara. Senior Mike Trapani - the hero in Matawan's walk-off win over Freehold Township on Thursday - had the lone Matawan hit and also scored a run in the bottom of the second.
Danny Hirujo allowed two runs on two hits over 3 2/3 innings to earn the win, while John Carelli worked the first three and allowed one run on three hits and a walk while fanning one. Jackson Hercek came on to get the final out after issuing a walk and giving up a hit.
O'Mara went the distance with three strikeout, three walks and 92 pitches in his one-hitter. O'Mara was also 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored and Jonah Rosen was 1-for-1 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI.

Mike Mercier and Tyler Ras both went 2-for-3 with extra-base hits and Jason Timmons belted a three-run home run to spark the Lions (5-4, 4-3) to a win over the Eagles (5-5, 3-5).
Mercier tripled home a run during Middletown North's eight-run second inning, which Timmons capped with his home run. Mercier finished with two RBI and two runs scored, while Ras doubled and scored twice.
Ras picked up the win on the mound, allowing two earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight and throwing 96 pitches.
Sophomore Robby Zega was 2-for-4 with a double and four RBI for Middletown South and senior John Martin went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Non-Division
Brick Memorial 5, Point Beach 3
Antonio Laborte singled in a run and Point Beach committed three errors during a three-run Brick Memorial seventh inning that gave the Mustangs (3-7) a win over the Garnet Gulls (5-3). Laborte finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and Joey Howell was 2-for-3 with two runs scored for Brick Memorial.
Senior Ray Lutick pitched 6 2/3 innings with 104 pitches to earn the win. He struck out nine, walked two and allowed three earned runs on five hits. Lutick also went 2-for-4 at the plate.
Max Alia drove in both Point Beach runs with a game-tying two-run double in the bottom of the fourth. Junior Jude Lovegren allowed one earned runs on five hits over four innings and 70 pitches with three walks and three strikeouts. Freshman Phil Antoniotti took the loss, allowing three unearned runs on four hits over three innings with four strikeouts and no walks.
