What a year it's been for sports during a global pandemic.

Baseball is playing a shortened 60 game season.

The NHL season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed at the beginning of August with twenty-four teams in a playoff format for the Stanley Cup.

The National Football League is scheduled to start as planned on Thursday Night on September 10th, 2020 with the Houston Texans taking on the Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs.

However...There will be NO preseason games this year due to Coronavirus concerns.

NFL teams are still holding their preseason workouts and scrimmages at their training facilities

The New York Giants are taking their workouts to your television for you to watch this weekend and the following for the fans to watch.

The Giants scrimmages will be called “Blue-White Scrimmage Specials”, and you can watch it on WNBC-4 on Saturday, August 29 at 6:00 p.m. ET and Friday, September 4 at 7:00 p.m. They will be hosted by Giants play-by-play announcer Bob Papa and joined by analysts Shaun O’Hara and Carl Banks with Bruce Beck also contributing.

According to Giants Wire:

“In these unique times, we are constantly looking for ways to engage Giants fans and provide more access to the organization,” said Giants Chief Commercial Officer Pete Guelli in a team release. “This scrimmage special will give them an up-close look at how Coach Judge and this staff are preparing the team for the upcoming season.”
