The Shore Conference will send 53 wrestlers to the NJSIAA Championships on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25 at Phillipsburg High School. This past weekend at the Super Region Tournaments, 13 Shore Conference wrestlers captured region titles. 14 more finished as runners-up and 26 more finished either third or fourth in their respective weight classes to secure a qualifying spot in the state tournament.

Shore Conference wrestlers had a very strong showing in the Central Super Region, which combined the traditional Region 5 and Region 6 schools which hail from Ocean, Monmouth, Middlesex, Burlington, Mercer and Hunterdon counties. Eleven of the 14 champions and 45 of the 56 state qualifiers in the Central Super Region are from the Shore Conference.

There are at least three Shore Conference state qualifiers in all 14 weight classes with a conference-high five representatives at 113, 126 and 145 pounds.

Brick Memorial and Howell lead the way with five state qualifiers each. Southern Regional, Rumson-Fair Haven and Christian Brothers Academy each have four state qualifiers. Ocean, Colts Neck, St. John Vianney and Matawan will each send three wrestlers to the state tournament.
