Every week this spring, Windmill Restaurants and Shore Sports Network will be selecting a Boys Lacrosse Team of the Week based on its performance over the past week.

The Windmill Team of the Week for Week 7 (May 14 to May 20) is Wall, which advanced to the state sectional semifinals for the first time in program history and also set the school single-season record for wins. WindMill and Shore Sports Network were at practice Monday to present the Crimson Knights and head coach Chris Knight with a special certificate and a $300 WindMill gift card.

Third-seeded Wall started its run in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 playoffs with a 17-4 victory over Lower Cape May. Senior attackman Mike McIntyre scored six goals and added three assists and senior attackman Tim O'Hern added four goals and one assist as the Crimson Knights cruised into the quarterfinals. Kyle Peters chipped in with two goals and two assists, Jack Textor had two goals and one assist and Sean DeMott made seven saves. Will Forte had one goal and one assist and Connor Prindiville scored once.

In a 14-6 win over Cranford in the semifinals, O'Hern scored five goals with one assist and McIntyre tallied three goals and three assists as Wall outscored the Cougars 8-1 in the second half to advance to the sectional semifinals for the first time in program history and also set the school single-season wins record with 14 victories.

Cranford scored three goals in the final 65 seconds of the first half to cut Wall's lead to 6-5, but a shorthanded goal by O'Hern sparked a four-goal run during a six-goal third-quarter surge that put the game away. DeMott made 11 saves in goal while Kyle Peters notched two goals and two assists and Forte added two goals and one assist. Textor and Logan Peters each scored once.

Wall will try to make history and reach its first sectional final on Wednesday, but to do so the Knights will have to get through defending champion Rumson-Fair Haven. The teams met in the Shore Conference Tournament quarterfinals with Rumson winning, 10-9.
