It’s been nearly five years since Toms River North lost a game to a Class A South opponent and that winning streak has reached 67 games.  Each time the Mariners take the court against a division rival they carry the weight of that streak and tonight they put it on the line against Toms River East in a game that will be streamed live by the Shore Sports Network.

East (5-6, 4-3) will have the benefit of “Raider Nation” and the home-court advantage will be a must if they are to pull off an upset against a Mariners team (12-2, 7-0) that has lost only to Manasquan (WOBM Christmas Classic Finals) and Rutgers Prep.  This is also the second meeting of the season between the teams as North prevailed 64-52 on December 19 which was opening night of the season.

The Mariners have been led all season long by the outside-inside duo of Jakari Spence and Najae Hallenbeck while the Raiders depend on sweet-shooting guards Mike Goodall and Ryan Goodall.

Matt Harmon and Kevin Williams will broadcast tonight’s game which can be viewed on shoresportsnetwork.com and by downloading the free Shore Sports Network mobile app.
