Vote for the Week 2 Surf Taco Girls Soccer Player of the Week

Every week, Shore Sports Network will select eight girls soccer players as candidates in the Player of the Week Vote, sponsored by Surf Taco. Voting runs from post time until Wednesday at 10 p.m., so vote early and often until the poll closes.

Coaches are encouraged to nominate players at the end of every week (ending on Saturday) by emailing soccer writer Matt Manley at mmanley21@gmail.com.

Without further ado, let's meet the Week 2 nominees. Scroll to the bottom of the post to vote.

Week 2 Player of the Week nominees (listed in alphabetical order)

Lindsay Guarnaccia, So., Holmdel

Guarnaccia's goal off a set piece stood up as the game-winning goal in the Hornets' 3-0 win over Raritan. She has three goals in four games this season, all of which have come from outside the 18-yard line.

Isabel Guiro, Fr., Barnegat

Guiro scored two goals and one assist in a game against Brick Memorial. She has six goals and two assists for the season.

Ryann Leohner, So., Freehold Township

Leohner had three goals and one assist during the week, scoring the only goal in the 68th minute during a 1-0 win over Wall and tallying two goals and one assist in a 4-2 victory over Howell.

Colleen Lillis, Fr., Matawan

Lillis scored the first two goals of her career to help the Huskies earn a 3-1 victory over Raritan.

Amber McGee, Sr., Jackson Liberty

The Lions defender had a hat trick in a 6-1 win over Donovan Catholic and then led the way in the defensive end during a 1-0 shutout against Pinelands.

Allie Toth, Sr., Lacey

Toth had a hat trick in a 6-0 win over Barnegat.

Jade Trotta, Sr., St. John Vianney

Trotta scored two goals for the Lancers in a 3-0 win over Neptune.

Jessica Wanzor, So., Jackson Memorial

Wanzor's two goals during the week both stood up as game-winning goals as the Jaguars defeated Howell, 3-0, and Central, 3-1. She has goals in three consecutive games.
