There were some great individual performances in the air, on the ground, on defense, and on special teams in Week 10, and now it’s time to get your vote in for who had the top performance in the Shore this weekend to choose the Ocean County Sports Medicine/Shore Sports Network Player of the Week. The winner will be announced on Thursday right here on ShoreSportsNetwork.com. Voting will end Wednesday at midnight.    

The winner will receive a $25 gift card to Burger 25 in Toms River.

Ocean County Sports Medicine Player of the Week nominees for Week 10 (listed in alphabetical order) 

Najee Calhoun, Fr., RB, Donovan Catholic

Calhoun rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries as the Griffins nipped Hudson Catholic, 27-20 in overtime, to advance to the Non-Public A quarterfinals.

 

Connor Dietz, Jr., QB, Brick Memorial

Dietz's sensational, record-breaking season continued in the Mustangs' 28-21 win over Northern Burlington in the South 4 Regional Invitational Tournament semifinals. The Brick Memorial dual-threat quarterback ran for 227 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries and completed 12 of 20 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown. Dietz broke two more school records during the game, passing Vinny Falkowitz as the program's single-season rushing leader with 1,742 yards. He also broke Brian Boland's season records for completions and attempts with 116 and 189, respectively.

 

Kieran Falzon, Sr., RB, Raritan

Falzon continued his outstanding season by returning the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown and then rushing for 170 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries to power the Rockets to a 28-7 win over Pleasantville in the South Jersey Group 2 semifinals.

 

Micah Ford, Jr., QB/S, Toms River North

Ford rushed for 257 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries, went 6-for-6 for 123 yards passing and two touchdowns, and recorded six tackles and one interception on defense to lead the Mariners to a 42-6 win over Marlboro in the South Jersey Group 5 semifinals.

 

Anthony Gartz, Sr., RB/LB, Wall

Gartz ran for 153 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries and had three tackles and three pass breakups on defense to lead Wall to a 42-16 win over Carteret in the South 3 Regional Invitational Tournament semifinals.

 

Kevin Maloney, Jr., WR, Howell

Maloney caught seven passes for 111 yards and a touchdown in Howell's 21-20 loss to South Brunswick in the South 5 Regional Invitational Tournament semifinals.

 

Pierce Olsen, Sr., QB, Red Bank

Olsen completed 8 of 9 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns to help the Bucs defeat Steinert, 36-7, to advance to the South 4 Regional Invitational Tournament final.

 

Alastair Orr, Jr., RB, Rumson-Fair Haven

Orr rushed for 107 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries as the Bulldogs beat Oakcrest, 28-6 in the South Jersey Group 2 semifinals, to advance to their ninth straight sectional final.

 

Earnest Reevey, Jr., QB, Long Branch

The Green Wave were defeated by Mainland, 34-20, in the Central Jersey Group 4 semifinals but Reevy helped Long Branch rally from a big deficit to make it a close game in the fourth quarter. He completed 25 of 42 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.

 

Donovan Summey, Jr., RB, Middletown South

Summey ran for 118 yards and a touchdown and threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to senior wideout Logan Colleran in the Eagles' 24-10 win over Winslow Township in the Central Jersey Group 4 semifinals.
