Voting has begun for the Shore Sports Network/94.3 The Point April Monmouth County Athlete of the Month.  Below are the nine finalists from among the list of nominees submitted by the athletic directors of the Monmouth County high schools.  You have until Monday, April 19 at 10 pm to vote for your choice with the winner to receive a feature story, on-air recognition, a special award from Ocean Trophies of Lanoka Harbor and a $100 gift card.

Voting is restricted to one vote per hour per device.

  • Has qualified and competed in state sectionals and Shore Conference Tournament.
  • Consistent high scorer for the team in their meets.
  • 4-year Spartan Scholar, National Honor Society, Top 10% of her class.
  • Class Officer, Key Club, Italian Club.

  • Reigning Monmouth County and Shore Conference Champion in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle.
  • School record holder in the 500 freestyle and 100 backstroke.

  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes member
  • Committed as a junior to the University of Florida where he will join the Gators SEC Championship team.

Sports:        Wrestling (Captain)

  • 8-1 on the season at 126/132-pound weight class.
  • National Honor Society, 1480 SAT, Eagle Scout.
  • Has helped turn the Huskies program around in the past two years.
  • Volunteers with Matawan recreation program.
  • Will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology where he will major in engineering and wrestle.
