Class A North

Howell 65, Middletown South 56

Senior Joe Dupuis scored a career-high 28 points thanks to six three-pointers and the Rebels (9-5, 5-4) rode a big second-half to a win over the Eagles (5-11, 1-7).

Junior Damien Padilla posted 12 points, nine rebounds and five assists and senior Nick Gallo added nine points, eight assists and three steals for Howell, which outscored Middletown South, 36-20, in the second half.

Junior Dylan Csik scored 15 points and senior Tom Schork added 14 to lead Middletown South. Junior Pat Brown and senior James Mayerhofer also added 10 points apiece in the loss.

 

Class A Central

No. 6 Rumson-Fair Haven 53, No. 1 Red Bank Catholic 37

Senior Trent Sloan scored a game-high 18 points and the Bulldogs (10-2, 5-1) knocked off the No. 1 Caseys (16-2, 8-1) behind a dominant defensive performance.

Sloan hit all three of his three-pointers in the third quarter, during which Rumson outscored Red Bank Catholic, 17-4, to build a 25-11 halftime lead. The senior later gave Rumson its largest lead in the fourth quarter with a two-handed dunk that put the Bulldogs ahead, 43-24, midway through the fourth quarter and capped an 11-0 run.

Senior Scott Gyimesi added 13 points, 15 rebounds and three assists while classmate Geoff Schroeder chipped in nine points and four assists, with all of his points coming on three fourth-quarter three-pointers that accounted for the first nine points of the 11-0 run.

Seniors C.J. Ruoff and Cyril Arvanitis each scored 10 points to lead Red Bank Catholic, which again played without 6-foot-5 sophomore Zach Meeks.

 

Class A South

No. 8 Jackson Memorial 55, Central 44

Junior Samir Padilla scored 17 points and the Jaguars (11-4, 7-2) rolled to a win over the Golden Eagles (11-6, 6-3) to take over first place in the Class A South standings.

Senior Steven Bado added 14 points and eight rebounds for Jackson Memorial and juniors Respect Tyleek and Charlie Meglio each contributed seven points in the win.

Senior Justin Soranno led Central with 13 points and senior Anthony Musso added 11 in the loss.

Southern 56, Toms River North 50 (OT)

Senior Jaden Anthony scored a game-high 16 points and the Rams (8-6, 5-4) outlasted the Mariners (7-9, 3-5) in overtime.

Junior Tom Menegus added 11 points and nine rebounds, while senior Nick Devane chipped in 10 points for Southern.

Sophomore Micah Ford scored 15 points and senior Ryan Baker added nine to lead Toms River North.

Toms River East 47, Toms River South 42

Junior Manny Vargas led a balanced effort with 13 points and four assists as the Raiders (3-12, 2-7) battled their way to a win over the rival Indians (4-11, 1-7).

Junior Dylan Russell added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Toms River East, while junior Easton Slack led Toms River South with a game-high 18 points.

 

Class B Central

Keyport 72, Henry Hudson 39

Senior George Mitchell scored 24 points and classmate D.J. Thomson added 22 as the Red Raiders (12-2, 9-1) rolled to a win over the Admirals (2-12, 0-8).

Junior Max Judson chipped in 11 points for Keyport.

Freshman Jack Fitzpatrick scored 13 points and junior Demitrius Harvey added 12 to lead Henry Hudson.

 

Class B South

No. 9 Manchester 69, Brick 30

Senior Savon Myers scored 22 points and the Hawks (12-4, 9-0) routed the Green Dragons (6-9, 3-6) on the road.

Senior Amari Petty added 17 points and classmate D'Maari Brown chipped in 10 for Manchester.

Junior Alex Jenkoski led Brick with 14 points.

Donovan Catholic 40, Pinelands 27

Nunes Bakula went off for a career-best 20 points and the Griffins (10-5, 7-2) topped the Wildcats (6-6, 4-4) on the road.

Senior Darren Barreau led Pinelands with eight points.

Lacey 63, Lakewood 54

Junior Chris Venturoso poured in 33 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to pace the Lions (7-8, 4-4) to a win over the Piners (1-10, 0-8).

Junior Troy Buxton added 12 points and eight rebounds for Lacey.

 

Class C North

Point Boro 48, Ocean 40

Junior Stephen Mellet scored 16 points and the Panthers (12-2, 7-2) held off the Spartans (2-13, 2-7) on the road.

Senior Matt Lee added 10 points and senior Colton MacGlashan chipped in nine for Point Boro.

Freshman Ron Richardson led Ocean with 12 points and classmate Zayier Dean added 10 in the loss.

No. 5 Manasquan 71, Wall 24

Senior Matt Solomon scored 13 points on Senior Night and the Warriors (13-3, 9-0) routed the Crimson Knights (1-12, 0-9).

Junior Quinn Peters added 10 points, sophomore Ryan Frauenheim chipped in nine and senior Dan Hyland contributed eight for Manasquan.

St. Rose 71, Monmouth 53

Senior Luke Farrell led four St. Rose players in double-figures with 21 points and the Purple Roses (7-7, 4-4) rolled to a win over the Falcons (7-9, 5-5).

Senior Nick DiNatale added 14 points, senior Chris Tallarico chipped in 13 and senior Colin Westhoven poured in 10 for St. Rose.

 

Non-Division

Shore 60, Asbury Park 39

Junior Liam Gajewski scored 17 of his game-high 19 points in the first half and the Blue Devils (8-8) stormed past the Blue Bishops (1-9).

Sophomore Alex George added 15 points for Shore, while juniors Davon Foster and Jai'Sun Brown each scored 13 to lead Asbury Park.

No. 10 Raritan 59, Jackson Liberty 41

Junior Lucas LaVilla led a balanced scoring effort with 11 points and the Rockets (11-4) rolled to a win over the Lions (10-5).

Junior Jack O'Leary added nine points and senior Tyzaya Smith and junior Michael Diller each added eight for Raritan.

Seniors Dahkareo Pritchett and Phanique Dupree each scored 14 points to lead Jackson Liberty.

Brick Memorial 62, Freehold Boro 42

Junior Josh Michigan scored 21 points and senior Luke Braaten threw in 17 to lead the Mustangs (10-4) past the Colonials (0-16).

Senior Mike Byrnes, senior David Sawiris and sophomore Christian DiGiso each scored nine points to lead Freehold Boro.
