Top Girls Basketball Matchups Of This Week

Monday 12/19

#7 Wall at #3 St. Rose 5:30 

St. Rose looks to stay perfect to start the year against Wall in a C North matchup. Last year the two teams split. Wall will look to get their first win of the season after losing a hard fought game vs #5 Trinity Hall.

Howell at Manchester 5:30 

Both teams start the season 2-0 and this should be a good game since they are both a step up from their previous opponents to start the season. Preseason All Shore player Devyn Quigley is averaging 38 points a game to start the season.

Tuesday 12/20

Marlboro at #5 Trinity Hall  4:00 

Trinity Hall has started the season red hot going 3-0 against all ranked teams. Nina Emnace is averaging just over 20 points a game and is making an early case for Defender of the Year.  Marlboro has started the season 1-1 and can be Trinity Hall’s toughest test in A North.

Donovan Catholic at #6 Ocean Twp 5:30 

Two of the teams that should contend for top spot in C South open division play against each other. Ocean Twp opened up the season defeating Neptune 44-32, while Donovan lost to #10 Jackson Memorial 48-36.

Thursday 12/22

#3 St. Rose at #2 Manasquan 5:30

In one of the best regular season rivalries in the Shore, St. Rose will continue their run of playing ranked teams as they meet Manasquan to determine who will have a leg up in C North early in the season. Manasquan was able to take both regular season games last season against St. Rose.

Toms River North at #10 Jackson Memorial 5:15

The two favorites for A South are meeting early this season after TRN was able to go 2-1 last year against Jackson Memorial, including one win in the SCT. The big question will be if Jaguars star Zoie Maffei will be cleared by Thursday.

Keyport at Keansburg 3:45 

In a wide open B Central division, both these teams will look to get out to a quick start to establish themselves as a threat for the B Central title. Keyport opened up the season with a win against Calvary Christian, while this will be Keansburg's first game.

Point Boro at Ranney 4:30

Another interesting matchup in C North to open up division play. Both teams won their opening games in very close games. This will be a good test for the young Point Boro squad, going up Ranney who cracked the top 10 last season.

Friday 12/23

Donovan Catholic at Shore Regional 5:15

Donovan Catholic will face their second C South team that should contend for the division title in four days.  It will be a fun game watching two All Shore players, senior Gabby Ross (Donovan) and senior Rylee Drahos (Shore) go head to head.
