Catching Up With The Quarantined Toddfather
Todd Frazier is anxious to get back on the baseball field but at the same time wants to make sure it’s safe. Toms River’s favorite baseball player is hanging out at home with his wife Jackie and three children, Blake (6), Kylie (5), and Grant (1) but is looking forward to the day he can rejoin his new Texas Rangers teammates. The 34-year old Frazier signed a free agent contract with Texas in the offseason and is expected to be their opening day starting third baseman…whenever opening day is.
Starting his 10th major league season, the former Toms River South and Rutgers standout is coming off a strong season with the New York Mets where he batted .251 with 21 homers and 67 RBI’s. He collected his 1,000th career hit in 2019 and also joined the 200-home run club and has 214 going into the season.
A two-time All-Star and former Home Run Derby champion, Frazier joined me from his home to talk about the status of the season, his new team and spending time at home with his three young children.
