Every week this wrestling season, Shore Conference fans will have the chance to vote for the Elite Sports Physical Therapy Wrestler of the Week on our website and decide which local standout should earn the weekly honor.

The winner of the Week 2 Wrestler of the Week poll is Toms River North junior Cole Anderson, who went undefeated with a pair of notable victories to jump into the individual rankings at 126 pounds.

Anderson was 4-0 during the second week of the season, highlighted by a 4-3 win over Jackson Memorial freshman Kael Huxford that helped the Mariners to a 35-29 victory over their Class A South rival. Late in the week, Anderson won by 6-0 decision over Pascack Hills' Patrick Cahill, who was a district runner-up last season. Anderson also won by fall over Lakewood's Rasul Allen and by 10-2 major decision over Southern's Kellen Bischoff.

Anderson posted a 17-18 record over his first two seasons but has turned the corner this year and is 8-0 so far with three pins, a technical fall and a major decision.

He was the clear winner in the Week 2 poll with over 53 percent of the votes.
