Throughout the high school basketball season Turning Point breakfast, brunch & lunch will partner with the Shore Sports Network on “The Turning Point Player of the Game.” One player from our Game of the Week broadcast will be selected and the player involved will receive a gift card from the Turning Point which has 12 restaurant locations in New Jersey including 6 in Monmouth & Ocean County.

This week’s “Turning Point Player of the Game”:

Toms River North traveled about four miles east to take on A-South rival Toms River East in our Jersey Mike's Game of the Week. The Mariners were looking to continue both their impressive season and their almost five year A-South winning streak (the last loss came on January 30, 2015 against Southern) while the Raiders were aiming to get back to .500 with their fourth straight win. Ultimately the Mariners proved to be too much to contain as the visitors took a 74-54 win back home. Jakari Spence contributed 21 points and eight assists as Toms River North took control of the game early and never looked back. For his efforts out on the court, Spence received a gift card from Turning Point breakfast, brunch, and lunch.

Be sure and look every week for “The Turning Point Player of the Game.
