The Shore Sports Network’s Senior Editor Matt Manley Honored

It may be an overused description but in the case of Matt Manley when you say he eats, drinks and sleeps high school basketball that is right on the money. The Shore Sports Network Senior Editor is basically embedded from December-March in covering the 47 boys teams who make up the Shore Conference. Manley’s devotion to providing timely, accurate and fair coverage of the sport has earned him considerable praise from coaches, players, officials and others and I for one count on him as a valuable resource. Nobody knows the sport better than Matt and it’s nice to see others recognize his efforts as Wednesday night he was honored at the Jersey Shore Challenge at Brookdale Community College. Event Director Brian Klatsky presented Manley with the inaugural Jersey Shore Challenge Contributor Award for his efforts in promoting the game throughout the shore area.  The presentation was made at halftime of the night’s feature game between Roselle Catholic and the Ranney School.
