Coming off a huge overtime victory that was critical to its postseason chances, Toms River South will be our featured guest on Wednesday night's Varsity Link Coaches Cornerwhich will be broadcast live from The Office Restaurant and Lounge in Toms River from 7-8 p.m.

The Indians pulled out a 14-13 overtime victory over Freehold Boro on Saturday afternoon, limiting an explosive Colonials offense to just two touchdowns and stopping a two-point conversion attempt in overtime to clinch the victory. Head coach Ron Signirono Jr. and senior two-way, two-year starting lineman Ryan Florio will join hosts Bob Badders and Ed Sarluca to talk Indians football.

There are just two weeks left in the regular season, and with the Shore Conference pods and the NJSIAA postseason looming it's time for some playoff talk. We will also be joined by Marlboro High School Athletic Director Dave Ryden and Middletown Schools Athletic Director Rich Carroll to go over the pod system and what to expect in the future. Ryden and Carroll are on the Shore Conference Football Committee and leaders of the changes the Shore has seen in terms of division alignment and the pod system.

As always, we will also recap some of last weekend’s top games and preview the upcoming schedule while discussing relevant Shore Conference football news.

Now in its 11th year, the Varsity Link Coaches Corner is broadcast every Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. during the football season and can be viewed on shoresportsnetwork.com. The show is archived on the website and available for viewing at any time.
