One of the most successful football programs in the Shore Conference will join us on Wednesday night when Shore Regional heads to River Rock Restaurant & Marina Bar in Brick for the latest episode of the Varsity Link Coaches Corner Football Show.

Longtime Blue Devils head coach Mark Costantino and senior captains Jamie Mazzacco and Andrew Decker will be our featured guests as we talk about another successful season in West Long Branch that continues this Friday night with a home playoff game vs. Woodstown in the South Jersey Group 1 semifinals.

Mazzacco has been one of the conference's best players this season and has provided invaluable contributions to his team from multiple positions. As the Blue Devils' quarterback, Mazzacco has rushed for 1,469 yards and 23 touchdowns on an average of 6.7 yards per carry, and has also thrown for 497 yards and two touchdowns. He is also Shore's leading tackler from his spot at linebacker with 62 tackles, plus four tackles for loss, one interception, and one forced fumble. Additionally, he is the Blue Devils' kicker and punter, converting 24 of 28 extra points and kicking two field goals with a long of 33 yards, and averaging 36.5 yards per punt.

Decker has rushed for 325 yards and three touchdowns on an average of 5.9 yards per carry and on defense has recorded 44 tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception, and one fumble recovery.

The Blue Devils enter Friday's game with a 7-2 record and will be looking to read the 13th sectional final in program history. Shore is tied for third all-time in Shore Conference history with seven NJSIAA sectional championships.
