A final look at the Top 10 girls basketball teams in the Shore Conference

The final edition of the Shore Sports Network Boys Lacrosse Top 10 is here as we put to bed another great season of lacrosse in the Shore Conference. For the fifth straight season, we had a team win an NJSIAA sectional championship and the Shore Conference Tournament delivered arguably the best game in the tournament’s 13-year history...

A week-and-a-half into the season, not all that much has changed in the actual top 10: of the first nine teams in the rankings, eight were in the preseason top 10 and the other was firmly on the bubble as a team not far from making the jump...

With the regular season winding down and the Shore Conference Tournament selection meeting Sunday February 14th, twenty teams have already qualified for the tournament with a .500 record or better.  Holmdel (9-9) faces Marlboro and Wall (10-10) faces Brick Memorial today at 1pm and both need wins to be eligible for the tournament...

This has been a season unlike any I have seen in my 10-plus years covering Shore Conference wrestling. Matchups are everything, and the factors separating the best teams in the Shore Conference are so small that even the littlest change can make all the difference...
