Long Branch's Dan George has announced that he is stepping down as the high school's head wrestling coach and that the upcoming football season will be his final one as Green Wave head coach.

It all began back in the 1930's when William George Sr. played for the Green Wave where he a team captain on the football team.

Long Branch dominated on both sides of the ball in a 42-0 win over Middletown North to begin the defense of its state title.
