St. John Vianney’s Dawn Karpell Starts Season Ranked #1

St. John Vianney finished last season as the top-ranked girls basketball team in New Jersey and with all five starters back the Lady Lancer were poised for what could have been a historic season.  However the goal of multiple championships is off the table due to the pandemic-abbreviated schedule and elimination of both the Shore Conference Tournament and NJSIAA Tournament of Champions. Vianney starts the season as the #1 ranked team in the Shore Sports Network Top 10 but they won’t hit the court until next week as they are shut down due to Covid-19 issues.  I talked about that and much more with head coach Dawn Karpell.
