Shore Teams on the Move in New NJSIAA Football Classifications
The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association released its 2017 football classifications on Tuesday and a handful of Shore Conference teams will find themselves in a new bracket for the upcoming season.
The most notable teams on the move are perennial state title contender Middletown South and reigning South Jersey Group III champion Wall. Middletown South will move back to Central Jersey Group IV from North 2, Group IV while Wall comes back to its usual Central Jersey Group III stomping grounds. Manchester, Jackson Liberty and Toms River East are also in new sections for 2017.
Manalapan didn’t move out of Central Jersey Group V but the section was impacted with defending champion Piscataway moving to North 2, Group V.
