Every week this wrestling season, Shore Conference fans have the chance to vote for the Shore Sports Network Wrestler of the Week on our website and decide which local standout should earn the weekly honor.

The winner from the week spanning Jan. 9 - Jan. 15 is Raritan junior 138-pounder Zach Reilley, who was flat-out dominant in his five bouts to help the No. 4 Rockets go 4-1 with two wins over ranked opponents.

Reilley went 5-0 with four technical falls and a first-period pin as the Rockets picked up victories over Brick Memorial, Jackson Memorial, Holmdel, and Northern Burlington. In Raritan's lone loss, to No. 3 St. John Vianney, Reilley needed less than a minute to secure a fall.

This past week, Reilley continued his outstanding season with four more victories to improve to 21-1. He was 4-0 with three pins, all of which occurred in 41 seconds or less, plus a technical fall. His biggest victory was a win by fall in just 26 seconds over two-time state qualifier Angelo Pellicci of St. Peter's Prep. He also won by fall in Raritan's thrilling win over rival Delaware Valley on criteria.

Reilley's only loss this season came against St. Joseph (Metuchen) senior Giovanni Alejandro, 10-8. Reilley reached the second round of wrestlebacks at 138 pounds in last season's NJSIAA Tournament and Alejandro reached the fourth round of wrestlebacks at 126 pounds. Both Raritan and St. Joe's are in Region 5, so there's a good chance they'll meet again this season.

Since the loss, Reilley is 9-0 with four pins and five technical falls.

Our first Wrestler of the Week poll of the season came down to the wire with Reilley securing 33.8 percent of the votes to win over Freehold's Andrew Fata and Point Boro's Jared Drewes.
