Every week this season, Shore Conference football fans will have their chance to vote for the Shore Sports Network Football Player of the Week on our website, with over 10,000 votes cast already this season.

The Week Two recipient is Manalapan senior running back Marcus Salinas, who rumbled for a career-high 233 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries in the Braves' 21-20 come-from-behind victory over Freehold Township. Salinas scored on runs of 3 and 18 yards to help Manalapan move to 3-0 and run its Class A North winning streak to 33 games.

The Manalapan fans flexed their voting muscles, voting for Salinas in droves to help him secure 45.66 percent of the vote and beat out Brick Memorial senior quarterback Tim Santiago, who set a program single-game rushing record with 320 yards and five total touchdowns in a 52-20 in over Toms River North.
