Offense
Carmen Sclafani, Sr., QB, Brick
The Green Dragons' standout, who was also voted the Sport Clips Player of the Week by the fans, rolled up a combined 305 yards and accounted for three touchdowns in a 42-0 win over Brick Memorial in the season opener. He ran for 148 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries and also threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns on 12-for-15 passing.
Defense
Tyler Tedeschi, So., LB, St. John Vianney
Tedeschi had a sparkling season debut with 8 tackles, 3 sacks and a pair of fumble recoveries to help power a 31-10 win over Matawan in which the Lancers held the Huskies to 96 total yards, including minus-6 yards rushing.
Special teams
Monmouth Regional's entire unit
The Falcons came up with a pair of fumble recoveries on special teams and also got an 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by junior Justin Trapp that proved to be critical in a 39-37 win over Holmdel. Junior Ely Velez also had an 18-yard punt return in the win, and senior kicker Mike Montefinese chipped in with three extra points.
Honorable mention
Tyler Thompson, Jr., PR, Ocean
Thompson had a 91-yard punt return for a touchdown in Ocean's 30-27 loss to Neptune.
Joe Rice, Jr., K, St. John Vianney
In his varsity debut, Rice nailed a 40-yard field goal in a 31-10 win over Matawan, the longest field goal of the Shore Conference season so far.
Jackson Memorial's special teams unit
Senior Aaron Curet returned a punt 49 yards for a touchdown, and Tyler Towns also returned a blocked punt 25 yards for a touchdown in a 50-16 win over Jackson Liberty.
Anthony Bassani, Jr., PR, Manalapan
Bassani returned a punt 50 yards for a score in a 41-0 win over Marlboro.
Divisional Players of the Week
Class A North
Offense
Jarvis Leaks, Sr., RB, Howell
Leaks had 5 catches for 138 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 60 yards on 16 carries in a 20-16 win over Colts Neck.
Defense
Morgan Quinones, Sr., LB, Freehold Boro
Quinones had a pair of sacks and helped limit Freehold Township's running game in a 29-7 win that improved the Colonials to 2-0.
Class A Central
Offense
Rich Salerno, Sr., RB, Raritan
Salerno exploded for a career-high 193 yards rushing and two touchdowns in less than three full quarters before suffering a season-ending torn ACL in a big 41-34 victory over Manasquan to start the season.
Also deserving mention for some superlative performances: Jimmy Green, Sr., QB, Monmouth; Aneesh Agrawal, So., QB, Holmdel; P.J. Braccia, Sr., WR, St. John Vianney.

Liam Casey, Sr., LB/S, St. John Vianney
Casey had a sack and played a strong game in run support to help the Lancers limit Matawan to minus-6 yards rushing in a 31-10 win.

Offense
Toms River North's offensive line
The Mariners produced three 100-yard rushers in rolling up 398 yards on the ground in a 30-14 win over Lacey in their opener on the heels of a 1-9 season. Sophomore quarterback Mike Husni had 154 yards rushing and two touchdowns on the ground, sophomore running back Parker Day added 124 yards rushing, and junior tailback Asante Moorer finished with 120 yards and a touchdown. The team averaged 7.2 yards per carry in the win. Seniors Joe Fantozzi and Adam Kakar, juniors Tim Petersen and Luke Butera, and sophomores Will Sagarese and Esiah Santamaria all are part of the Mariners' front line.
Also deserving mention is Toms River South quarterback Tymere Berry, who put up 170 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries in a 40-7 win over Donovan Catholic.
Defense
(tie) Chris Kimbiz, Sr., DT, Brick; Pat Walker, Jr., LB, Southern
Kimbiz was a disruptive force in the middle all game with a sack, a forced fumble that was returned for a touchdown, and two other tackles for a loss in Brick's 42-0 win over his former team, Brick Memorial, which the Green Dragons held to 50 yards rushing.
Walker had 11 tackles and a forced fumble in a 21-14 win over Toms River East to open the season.
Class B North
Offense
Jaree Parrish, Sr., RB, Neptune
Parrish was instrumental in the Scarlet Fliers' 30-27 win over Ocean with 156 yards rushing and two touchdowns, including what proved to be the game-winning 64-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter.
Also deserving mention is Red Bank Regional's Alim Godsey, who went over the 100-yard mark in a 21-14 win over Wall, including an 87-yard touchdown run.
Defense
(tie) Jamie Gordinier, Sr., LB, Red Bank Catholic; Neptune's entire unit
Gordinier, a Miami recruit, was outstanding with 15 tackles, one for a loss, a fumble recovery and a blocked punt that led to a touchdown in a 42-7 win over Long Branch.
Neptune's defense came up with three clutch turnovers in the fourth quarter to preserve a three-point lead in a 30-27 win over Ocean. Senior safety Savior King had a fumble recovery at Neptune's 9-yard line following a hit by senior linebacker O'Shane Curate, cornerback Zaire Alston had an interception, and senior linebacker Diondre Dunn had a game-sealing interception with 1:27 remaining.

Offense
Christian Palmer, Sr., QB, Mater Dei Prep
Palmer ran for a pair of touchdowns and threw for two more in a 43-6 win over Keansburg.
Defense
Jake Delorenzo, Sr., LB, Point Beach; Matt Zuhowski, So., DT, Point Beach
The Garnet Gulls' tandem led a strong defensive effort in a 15-12 win over Asbury Park, as Zuhowski finished with 5 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss and 2 sacks, and Delorenzo registered 9 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, a sack and an interception in the victory.

Cinjun Erskine, Sr., QB, Barnegat
Erskine amassed 217 total yards and combined for three touchdowns in a 26-7 win over Manchester. He ran for 75 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries and also threw for 142 yards and a touchdown on 11-for-16 pasing.
Defense
Datrell Reed, Sr., DE, Lakewood
Reed honored the memory of his late grandfather by making 13 tackles, 4 for a loss, in a 22-7 win over Central.
