Senior Anthony Matrone cracked a game-tying solo home run in the fifth and junior Liam Martin delivered a go-ahead, pinch-hit RBI single in the bottom of the sixth as the Braves rallied from a three-run deficit to beat the Colts.

Senior Nick DiMaggio came on in relief and fired 3 1/3 scoreless frames to earn his first win.

Junior Anthony Longo pitched a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts and one walk to give the Red Raiders (3-2, 2-1) a sweep of the Titans (1-5, 0-4) behind a second straight pitching gem.

Jack DiPaolo pitched a two-hit shutout with 16 strikeouts in a 1-0 Keyport win on Monday and on Tuesday, Longo allowed just one unearned run while his team gave him more breathing room.

Longo also went 1-for-3 with two RBI and DiPaolo also drove in two during a 1-for-4 game at the plate. Senior Sean Lachky was 2-for-2 with three runs and an RBI and junior Tim Connallon was 1-for-3 with two runs scored for Keyport.

Junior Matt Keelen was 1-for-3 with the lone Keansburg RBI. Senior Connor Graf took the loss on the mound, allowing two earned runs over five three-hit innings.

 

Ranney 19, Henry Hudson 0 (5 Innings)

Sophomore Diego Tavarez pitched a five-inning, two-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts and two outs and the Panthers (6-2, 5-0) hammered the Admirals (2-4, 2-2).

Junior Charlie Chropuvka went 3-for-5 with three doubles, sophomore Brett Wehringer was 2-for-4 with four RBI and 4 stolen bases, and sophomore Glenn Cantalupo was 2-for-2 with four runs, two RBI and four RBI for Ranney
