Class A North

No. 6 Middletown South 13, Freehold Township 2

Junior midfielder Luke Rohrmann erupted for five goals and senior attackman Ryan Paulsen had a hat trick to power the Eagles (4-0, 1-0) to a win over the Patriots (1-5, 1-3) in their division opener.

Luke Platzke added a goal and three assists while Steve Kirchner, Matt Mauro, Colin Gallagher and defenseman Tyler Colacichi each scored once. Nate Block made nine saves in goal.

Doug Kemple and David DellaBella each scored once and Tim Spagnolia made 10 saves for Freehold Township.

 

Class A South

Toms River South 12, Central 4

Senior attackman Drew Gisinger scored four goals and added three assists and junior attackman Shane Toal tallied three goals and four assists as the Indians (1-5, 1-3) topped the Golden Eagles (0-7, 0-3) for their first win of the season.

Aidan Vicidomini added two goals and one assist while going 12 for 17 on face-offs, Brady Derome scored twice and Matthew Keefer had a goal and two assists. Anthony Ferrara (3 saves) and Jacob Hull (3 saves) split time in goal.

Casey Etzkorn scored twice to lead Central. Patrick NcNamee and Angel Guadagno had one goal apiece.

 

Class B North

No. 1 Rumson-Fair Haven 20, St. John Vianney 1

Senior midfielder Patrick Jamin scored three goals with four assists and senior attackman Luke Devlin scored a game-high four goals plus one assist as the Bulldogs (8-0, 3-0) torched the Lancers (3-6, 1-2) to continue their tremendous season.

Phillip Passalaqua added two goals and one assist while Dan Garvey and Connor Spagnuola each scored twice. Tommy Swain had another strong game at face-off X by winning 11 of 16 draws. Cole Cashion and John Maguire chipped in with one goal and one assist each and Quinn Lumsden, Ethan Smith, Luke Jamin and Bennett Raphalian rounded out the scoring with one goal each.

 

Holmdel 7, No. 9 Red Bank Catholic 4

Senior attackman Joe Hammer sank five goals and assisted on another and Andrew Arredondo made 16 saves as the Hornets (2-1, 1-1) upended the Caseys (2-4, 1-2).

Ryan Bradley added a goal and an assist, Kyle Kapcsos scored once and Aidan Lagana had two assists.

Jack Frisina scored twice and Jack Bilancione made 18 saves for RBC. Jackson Lue and Torin Harmon had one goal each.

 

Class B South

No. 4 Wall 18, Lacey 5

Senior attackman Logan Peters scored six times and added three assists as the Crimson Knights (6-1, 2-1) stormed past the Lions (3-3, 1-1).

Sophomore attackman John McCurry also had a big game with five goals and two assists and junior midfielder Matt Dollive had three goals and one assist. Connor Moore and Jack Meyer each scored twice. Aiden Kessler (2 saves) and Adam Jackson (2 saves) split time in goal.
