Class A North

Manalapan 15, Marlboro 5

Freshman attackman Anthony Macchio delivered two goals and six assists and senior attackman Mike DeMayo had three goals and three assists as the Braves (5-5, 4-3) defeated the Mustangs (2-8, 1-4).

Matt Sadler had three goals and one assist, Marc Stefanelli and Richie Williams each scored twice and Frankie D'Amore had a goal and an assist. Luke Mann and Ray Vender each scored once with Vender's goal being the first goal by a defenseman in program history. Grant Carle won 13 of 16 faceoffs and Antonio Santana (7 saves) and Alex Kaplan (4 saves) shared time in goal.

 

Class A South

Jackson Memorial 15, Toms River North 4

Senior midfielder Drew Walenty scored six goals and assisted on another to lead the way for the Jaguars (7-3, 2-1) as they defeated the Mariners to snap a three-game losing streak.

Matt DeRosa added three goals and one assist, Charlie Harrison had two goals and one assist and Drew Barocas scored twice. Justin Perillo had a goal and an assist, defenseman Ryan Rankin scored once and Chad Szatkowski made five saves.

 

No. 8 Southern 16, Toms River East 4

Junior midfielder Ryan Sininsky scored four goals and assisted on three others and junior midfielder Zach Washco and sophomore attackman Joey DeYoung each totaled three goals and one assist for the Rams (9-3, 6-0) in their win over the Raiders (0-8) on senior night.

Tyler Murowski added two goals, Luke Bruther and Frankie Fierra each had a goal and an assist and Jake Washco and Andrew Mulholland both scored once. Kurt Falk went 11-for-11 on face-offs and Tyler Sininsky (2 saves) and Nick Roesch (3 saves) shared time in goal.

 

Class B North

No. 1 Rumson-Fair Haven 18, Holmdel 3

Junior attackman Christian Bockelmann was unstoppable with five goals and five assists and senior midfielder Patrick Jamin totaled four goals and two assists as the Bulldogs (12-0, 6-0) continued to steamroll their division opponents with a victory over the Hornets (5-4, 2-2).

Sophomore attackman Cole Cashion added three goals and three assists and senior FOGO Tommy Swain won 22 of 24 faceoffs. Josh Harmon scored twice, Luke Devlin had a goal and two assists, Thomas French and Philip Passalaqua each had a goal and an assist and Dan Garvey scored once. Ryan Croddick made two saves to earn the win.

Joseph Hammer, Jared Battaglila and Jaden Gallo scored for Holmdel while Andrew Arredondo made 20 saves.

 

Red Bank 19, Neptune 1

Senior attackman Ryan McGee scored four goals and added two assists and sophomore attackman Ryder Villani tallied three goals and three assists as the Bucs (7-5, 3-2) defeated the Scarlet Fliers (0-9, 0-4) on senior night.

Senior midfielder Nick Weitz had two goals and one assist while senior midfielder Nick Walsack, senior LSM Gordon Odgen and senior defenseman Ryan Karr each scored once. Freshman attackman Andrew Pape had two goals and four assists, sophomore midfielder Henry Spencer had two goals and one assist, junior attackman Matt Lynch contributed a goal and two assists and sophomore midfielder Trey Lynch and freshman midfielder Maurice Gittines had one goal each. Gavin Lisko made six saves.

 

Nondivisional

No. 2 Manasquan 9, No. 3 CBA 8

Fourth-quarter goals by junior midfielder Robert Pendergist and senior attackman Casey Mulligan gave Manasquan the lead and the Warriors came up with two defensive stops in the final minute to hold on for a thrilling win over the Colts.

Mulligan's goal with 3:58 left in the game gave Manasquan (6-2) a 9-7 lead. He scored a game-high three goals and assisted on another goal, reaching the 100-career goal milestone in the process. Pendergist tallied two goals and one assist, sophomore attackman Matt Porazzo scored twice, and Blake Gorski and Mike Farinacci had one goal each. Junior goalie Carter Groezinger had a strong game in goal with seven saves.

CBA senior goalie Noah D'Andrea was outstanding and finished with 14 saves, robbing Manasquan on several high-quality chances. Senior midfielder Terrance Lacewell had two goals and one assist and junior midfielder Brendan Donnelly scored twice to lead the Colts' offense. Senior attackmen Dan Martin and Ryan Howard, senior midfielder Michael DeRosa and senior FOGO Jared Lucich each scored once.

Lucich got the better of a face-off battle with Manasquan junior Max Pauwels as two of the Shore's best face-off specialists squared off. It was an even seven wins each heading to the fourth quarter before Lucich won four of five draws in the final quarter.

 

No. 5 Howell 8, Red Bank Catholic 5

Junior attackman Vincent Burns notched a hat trick to lead the Rebels (8-4) to a victory over the Casey (3-8).

Sophomore attackman Nate Lorenzo added a goal and two assists and junior midfielders Doug MacKenzie and Dax Kukan each had a goal and an assist. Junior midfielder Tyler Burns and junior attackman Jack Marich each scored once. Junior Colin Fay and sophomore Christian Schrader split time in goal with each making five saves.

Sophomore midfielder Sam Fertal led RBC with two goals and two assists. Junior midfielder Anthony Muniz scored twice and sophomore midfielder Torin Harmon had a goal and two assists. Senior goalie Jack Bilancione made 11 saves.

 

No. 6 Middletown South 15, Ocean 5

Luke Rorhmann sank four goals with one assist and Matt Dunphy and Aidan Kane each scored twice as the Eagles (6-1) soared past the Spartans (4-5).

Luke Platzke, Ryan Paulson, Colin Gallagher, Beau Servidio, Tyler Wisniewski, Brendan Gilbert and Tyler Colacichi each scored once. Junior goalie Nate Block made seven saves.

Josh Thurman led Ocean with two goals and one assist. Rusty Todd also scored twice and Michael Terry scored once. Senior goalie Garrett Schwab made 21 saves.

 

Brick Memorial 19, Jackson Liberty 6

Seniors Chris Marks and Filipe Correia each recorded their 100th career point as the Mustangs (9-3) ran past the Lions (2-5) for their ninth win of the season.

Marks had a game-high six goals plus one assist and Correia totaled three goals and four assists. Senior midfielder Darren Romaine had a game-high eight points on two goals and six assists and junior midfielder Henry Lingquist tallied four goals and one assist. Dan Aulisi added two goals and Rob Beshears and Luke Vojtko each scored once. Luke Ray won 20 of 22 faceoffs and picked up 18 ground balls. PJ Mazzeo made five saves.

 

Colts Neck 11, Brick 8

Senior attackman Anastagio Muscara tallied a goal and two assists to reach 100 career points as the Cougars (7-3) defeated the Dragons (5-5) in a cross-county matchup.

Mike Deissler had a game-high four points with three goals and one assist and Nate Rowohit also scored three goals. Peter Davi had a goal and two assists, Tim Frost had a goal and an assist, and Chris DeFillippo and Matt Scully each scored once. Jake Lupo picked up a team-high 12 ground balls.

James Rea had four goals and picked up 12 ground balls to lead Brick. Justin Kurc had two goals and two assists and Christian Schlaefer also scored twice. Timmy Anthony won 16 of 23 faceoffs and Vinny Gallo picked up a game-high 14 ground balls.

 

Nonconference

No. 9 Barnegat 13, Middle Township 6

Senior midfielder James Corliss scored five times and senior goalie Brian Corliss made 13 saves as the Bengals (9-2) topped the Panthers (2-11).

Jerry Weir had three goals and three assists, John Porcelli had three goals and one assist and Aidan Reiser had a goal and five assists. Tyler Quinn scored once and Andrew Vernieri was a perfect 21-for-21 on face-offs.
