Monmouth 2, No. 6 Ocean 1

Senior Arturo Reyes scored the tying and winning goals in the second half and the Falcons (7-3-1, 3-2) rallied to knock off the Spartans (6-2, 2-2).

Reyes finished off a corner kick by senior Kaan Pehlivan to pull Monmouth even. He later knocked in the game-winner off a set-up from senior Prabhnoor Singh.

Junior Archeley Eugene scored in the first half to give Ocean a 1-0 lead.

 

Class B North

Freehold Boro 2, Matawan 1 (OT)

An own goal proved the difference in the second minute of overtime as the Colonials (2-4-1, 1-3-1) topped the Huskies (1-4-1, 0-3-1). Senior Owen Gelber ignited the scoring with the game's first goal in the 44th minute before Matawan equalized in the 61st.

Ranney 2, Henry Hudson 1

Jake Sobel and Dev Nayer each scored a goal and the Panthers (5-1, 3-0) fought off a challenge from the Admirals (4-3, 3-2).

No. 3 Freehold Twp. 3, Jackson Memorial 0

Seniors Ryan Keegan, Josh Hocheiser and Christian Mojares each scored a goal and the Patriots (5-1) blanked the Jaguars (0-6-1).

Manasquan 6, Brick 2

Sophomore Lucas Farkas and junior Matt Karolak each scored two goals and the Warriors (4-3-2) rolled through the Green Dragons (2-4-1).

Seniors Mike Cafiero and Jose Avila each added a goal for Manasquan.

Red Bank 2, No. 5 Holmdel 0

Senior Jacob Kirkpatrick scored the first goal on a free kick in the first half and assisted an insurance tally by Lucas Sileno in the 65th minute as the Bucs (3-4-2) pulled out a win over the Hornets (4-2) - their second win over a team ranked in the Shore Sports Network Top 10 at the time of the match.

Red Bank ended Wall's 26-game unbeaten streak by beating the Crimson Knights - then ranked No. 3 - 2-1 on Sept. 15.
