Shore Conference Tournament semifinals at Long Branch HS

1-Rumson-Fair Haven 15, 4-CBA 3

Senior attackman Cole Cashion sank three goals and handed out one assist, freshman attackman Luke Lydon scored three times, and junior face-off specialist Luke Marascio won 14 of 19 face-offs to lead the Bulldogs (15-4) to a dominant victory over the Colts (10-6) to advance to the SCT final for the third straight year and 13th time in program history.

Junior midfielder Andy Croddick scored twice while Zach Iwan, DJ Devine, Matt Casazza, Vincent Raphalian, Grayson Goldin, Brody Page, and Leo Passalaqua had one goal each. Senior goalie Marshall Halfacre made seven saves.

Rumson will play No. 3 Manasquan at 6 p.m. on Monday at Monmouth University.

 

3-Manasquan 8, 2-Wall 4

Sophomore attackman Brandon Kunz scored three goals and junior goalie Nick Bounassi made seven saves to back up a lockdown defensive effort as the Warriors (14-3) avenged a regular-season loss to the rival Crimson Knights (13-5) to return to the Shore Conference Tournament final for the seventh time in program history.

Senior attackman Matt Porazzo tallied two goals and one assist, senior midfielder Blake Gorski had a goal and an assist, and junior midfielder Brody Muly and sophomore attackman Ryan Aldi each scored once.

Senior attackman John McCurry had two goals and one assist and junior goalie Lucas Seelinger made seven saves to lead Wall. Senior midfielder Connor Moore and junior midfielder Will Madden each scored once.

Manasquan will play No. 1 Rumson-Fair Haven in the SCT final at 6 p.m. on Monday at Monmouth University.

 

 

Regular Season

Class A South

Jackson Memorial 15, Toms River East 14

Junior midfielder Elias Craig scored a career-high seven goals and added two assists for a career-high nine points while =freshman attackman Emanuel Jastrzebski became the first player in program history to record 100 points in a season as the Jaguars (10-4, 6-1) won a barnburner over the Raiders (8-5, 5-2).

Jastrzebski notched four goals and three assists and now has 102 points on the season. Junior goalie Russell Cender also set a personal record by making a career-high 23 saves. Junior attackman Drew Barocas netted two goals and two assists, senior attackman Justin Perillo scored once, and junior midfielder Zach O'Connell won 17 of 26 face-offs and scored a goal.

Senior midfielder Luke Barber scored six goals, added an assist, won 20 of 30 face-offs, and picked up 22 ground balls to lead the Raiders. Barber eclipsed 200 career ground balls during the game. Sophomore midfielder Nate Cummings delivered three goals and three assists, freshman attackman Nicholas Caruso tallied three goals and one assist, and senior attackman Maxson Hutteman had two goals and one assist. Senior goalie Lester Cook made five saves.

 

Nondivisional

No. 8 Red Bank 10, No. 5 Southern 9

Junior midfielder Andrew Pape scored three goals and senior goalie Gavin Lisko made 15 saves as the Bucs (14-3) continued their resurgent season by taking downs the Rams (11-5).

Seniors Henry Spencer, Ryder Villani, and Trey Lynch each tallied two goals and one assist and freshman attackman Gabe Pape scored once.

Senior midfielder Joey DeYoung totaled five goals and one assist to lead Southern. Senior attackman Hayden Lucas had two goals and one assist and Ty Murawski and Liam Griffin each scored once. Junior goalie Nick Roesch and sophomore goalie AJ Mattern each made five saves.

 

No. 7 Holmdel 14, Toms River North 3

Junior midfielder Gary Collyer scored four goals and added one assist and freshman attackman Finn Buchan recorded a hat trick to lead the Hornets (14-4) to a victory over the Mariners (3-11).

Junior midfielder Will Gilfillan and sophomore attackman Brian Volpe had two goals and two assists each and sophomore FOGO Jack Powers won 13 of 14 face-offs. Junior midfielder Jett Londell won 5 of 6 face-offs, senior attackman Kyle Kapcsos had a goal and an assist, and juniors Ryan Subotic and Greg Linsalata each scored once.

Andrew Arredondo, Casey Dowd (1 save), and Jack Tiller (3 saves) all saw time in goal.

Senior midfielder Tim Beahm scored twice, senior attackman Nick Walano had a goal and an assist, and senior goalie Evan Singer made nine saves. Sophomore goalie Charlie Machamer also saw time in goal and made two saves.

 

Howell 12, Point Boro 8

Senior attackman Nate Lorenzo scored four goals to eclipse the 200-career point milestone and help lead the Rebels (9-5) to a solid victory over the Panthers (11-5).

Senior attackman Jack Marich also scored four goals, sophomore midfielder Vincent Meehan had two goals and two assists, and junior midfielder Ian McDow had a goal and three assists. Junior midfielder Jon Peal Pepe scored once, sophomore midfielder Nicholas Turturro dished out two assists, senior defenseman Tye Maser had an assist for his first career point, and senior goalie Brendan Breschard made eight saves.

Sophomore attackman Brady Kirk registered three goals and two assists and senior FOGO Tommy Morros won 19 of 22 face-offs to lead Point Boro. Senior attackman Brian Ostrander added two goals and one assist while junior midfielders Greyson Ritter, Robert Trapanese, and Gavin Reid each scored once. Junior goalie Colin Cole made nine saves.

 

Jackson Liberty 16, Marlboro 4

Junior attackman Paul Capozzi scored seven goals and distributed a career-high six assists to record his third double-digit point total of the season and lead the Lions (8-8) to a runaway victory over the Mustangs (2-15).

Senior Reese Stewart also had a big game with three goals, three assists, and 10 ground balls. Freshman Jeffery White sank three goals and added two assists, senior James Capucci tallied two goals and one assist, junior Jeffery Keagan had a goal and an assist, and senior goalie Evan Canning made 12 saves.

Sophomore midfielder Andrew Silvia led Marlboro with three goals and a 13-for-21 record at the face-off X. Sophomore attackman Shayne Gallo scored once and senior goalie DJ Silvia made 12 saves.
