Toms River East 46, Barnegat 45

Junior Dylan Russell found sophomore Jason McKelvey for the game-winning layup with four seconds left and the Raiders (1-3) earned their first win of the season with a thrilling, last-second win over the Bengals (1-2).

McKelvey and Russell led Toms River East throughout the game, with McKelvey putting up 17 points and eight rebounds, while Russell contributed 17 points, six rebounds and three steals. Junior Soren Wilson also helped the cause by hauling in 14 rebounds.

Senior Logan Kreudl led Barnegat with 13 points.

Colts Neck 57, Allentown 45

Junior Tyler Spencer scored 15 points to lead the Cougars (1-1) past the Redbirds (1-2) in their home-opener to pick up their first win of the season.

Senior Spencer Bernstein and junior Will Surdez each added 12 points for Colts Neck, which outscored Allentown, 18-7, in the third quarter to seize control of the game after trailing, 26-25, at halftime.

No. 8 St. John Vianney 83, Union Catholic 66

Senior Nate Williams exploded for 45 points, five assists and eight steals to guide the Lancers (4-0) to a comfortable win over the Vikings (0-2). In the last two days, Williams has posted 69 points, 11 assists and 14 steals in wins over Neptune and Union Catholic.

Sophomore Dylan Seay pitched in 14 points and 11 rebounds for St. John Vianney.

Belvidere 49, Henry Hudson 44

Senior Demitrius Harvey scored a game-high 19 points and the Admirals (1-2) took a nine-point lead into the third quarter before the County Seaters (1-1) rallied with a big second half to pick up the road win.

R.J. Auriemma scored 17 points to lead Belvidere, which outscored Henry Hudson, 31-17, in the second half.
