(14) Colts Neck 42, (11) Wall 37

Junior Will Surdez and sophomore Michael Belcher each scored 11 points to lead the Cougars (2-1) to a win over the Crimson Knights (0-4).

(7) Central 70, (15) Toms River South 20

Sophomore Miles Chevalier scored a career-high 31 points to go with four steals and the Golden Eagles (2-2) rolled to a win over the Indians (1-3).

Freshman Jaycen Santucci added 13 points for Central and senior Anthony Musso chipped in nine.

At Toms River North Gym

(4) Freehold Twp. 49, (12) Middletown South 46

Junior Jayden Holmes-Cotter scored a team-high 15 points and the Patriots (2-2) held off the Class-A-North rival Eagles (0-3).

Senior Tom Schork scored a game-high 17 points to lead Middletown South, which played without starting guard Dylan Csik. All three of Middletown South's losses to open the season have come against teams ranked in the Shore Sports Network preseason Top 10 (St. John Vianney, Manchester and Freehold Township).

(8) Toms River North 65, (16) Toms River East 56

Senior Lamir Mitchell scored a game-high 19 points and the Mariners (2-2) beat the crosstown-rival Raiders (1-4) in the consolation round.

Sophomore Micah Ford added 14 points and senior Ryan Baker chipped in 13 for Toms River North.

Sophomore Jason McKelvey led Toms River East with 12 points while juniors Dylan Russell, Jacob Mathus and Manny Vargas each poured in 11 in the loss. Russell also pulled in 11 rebounds to notch a double-double.
