Junior Jayden Holmes-Cotter scored 12 points and the Patriots (7-6, 4-3) coasted to a win over the Green Wave (1-9, 0-5).

Manalapan 48, Neptune 43

Senior Nick Arthurs scored 14 points and senior Mike Cerreto added 13 as the Braves (5-7) battled past the Scarlet Fliers (3-7) in a game that was halted in the third quarter due to a benches-clearing brawl between the two teams that resulted in multiple ejections for each team.

Senior Dan Moran led Neptune with 11 points, junior Anthony Banks added 10 and senior Jahmil Miranda poured in nine in the loss.

No. 1 Red Bank Catholic 56, No. 4 Ranney 29

Senior Alex Bauman led another balanced offense attack with 13 points and the Caseys (13-1) locked down the Panthers (7-2) to add another win over a Shore Conference top-five opponent to their resume.

Senior C.J. Ruoff poured in 10 points, senior Cyril Arvanitis scored nine and sophomore Colin Cavanaugh chipped in eight for Red Bank Catholic, which held Ranney to six points on 2-for-18 shooting during the entire first half to 13 points through three quarters.

Junior Isaac Hester led Ranney with eight points and senior Charles Anyichie contributed six points, seven rebounds and eight blocks in the loss.

St. Rose 51, Matawan 33

Senior Nick DiNatale scored eight points and all 12 St. Rose players scored a basket as the Purple Roses (4-6) topped the Huskies (1-13).

Brick Memorial 58, Pinelands 35

Junior Josh Michigan pumped in 26 points and the Mustangs (8-3) handled the Wildcats (5-3) on the road.

Senior Luke Braaten added 12 points for Brick Memorial.

Senior Darren Barreau led Pinelands with 13 points and senior Collin Reid pitched in eight in the loss.

Shore 61, Point Beach 49

Sophomore Alex George scored 24 points and the Blue Devils (6-6) rolled to a win over the Garnet Gulls (4-4).

Junior Liam Gajewski added 14 points, while senior Aiden O'Brien and junior Brett Sweeney each poured in nine for Shore.

Holmdel 60, Middletown South 46

Sophomores Nick Seeloch and James Vallillo each scored 14 points and the Hornets (7-5) downed the Eagles (4-8).

Freshman Evan Romano added 12 points while sophomore Ben Kipnis and senior Saverio Bodnar each pitched in eight for Holmdel.

Junior Dylan Csik led Middletown South with a game-high 18 points.

Toms River South 74, Ocean 72

Senior Gavin Migliori scored 17 points and dealt out five assists as the Indians (4-7) held off a furious fourth-quarter surge from the Spartans (2-9) to pull out a win.

Sophomore Jordan Jones added 14 points and four steals, junior Easton Slack chipped in 12 points and four assists, and senior Bobby Kufka chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and four assists for Toms River South.

Freshman Zayier Dean scored 21 points and senior Justin McMahon added 20 for Ocean, which trailed, 62-42, heading into the fourth quarter and cut Toms River South's lead to one on multiple occasions in the final two minutes. Freshman James Sobieski got a clean look from half court to win the game at the buzzer and his shot rimmed out to end it.

 

Non-Conference

Henry Hudson 75, Warren Tech, 27

Junior Jax Ross led four Henry Hudson players in double-figures with 19 points and the Admirals (2-8) snapped an eight-game winning streak.

Freshman Jack Fitzpatrick added 18 points, while senior Quinn Casey and sophomore Brandon Hendrickson each added 12 for Henry Hudson.

No. 9 Raritan 64, Newark Lab 27

Senior Justin Rivera scored a game-high 17 points and the Rockets (7-3) cruised to a win over Newark Lab, with 12 players cracking into the scoring column.

South River 61, Keyport 50

Jeremy Grospe scored 18 points to lead four South River players in double-figures and the Rams (11-1) rode a big second half to a win over the Red Raiders (8-2) in a game that pitted two Central Jersey Group I championship hopefuls against one another.

Senior D.J. Thomson scored 17 points and senior Chris Mitchell added 16 for Keyport, which entered halftime tied with South River, 34-34.

Middletown North 78, Woodbridge 48

Senior Matt Kenny poured in 20 points to go with six rebounds and the Lions (6-5) rolled to a win over the Barrons (2-9).

Senior Tommy Giannone added 15 points and four assists and senior Colin Devine chipped in 10 points, 10 rebounds and three assists for Middletown North. Junior Zac Searight also posted nine points, 10 rebounds, and six assists in the win.

No. 7 Rumson-Fair Haven 66, Newark East Side 63

Senior Scott Gyimesi put up 26 points and 16 rebounds and the Bulldogs (7-2) powered past the Red Raiders (5-5) with a strong second-half showing.

Senior Geoff Schroeder returned to the starting lineup for Rumson and finished with 12 points, including three three-pointers.

The two teams entered the halftime locker room tied at 28 and Rumson led for nearly the entire second half, growing its lead as large as 12.

St. Peter’s Staten Island (N.Y.) 84, Mater Dei Prep 41

Senior Jayden Cabrera scored 11 points but the Seraphs (5-7) could not keep up with St. Peter's on Staten Island.
