The Caseys (9-1) exploded for their highest point total of the season to bounce back from their first loss and rout the Crusaders (5-4) to advance to the semifinals for the fourth straight season. They will host the winner of Saturday’s game between defending champion St. Joseph’s-Montvale and Camden Catholic next Friday.

Senior tailback Tommy Spernal ran for touchdowns of 7 and 27 yards, senior tailback Mike Cordova had a 30-yard touchdown run, senior defensive back Mike DeMonte had a 28-yard interception return for a touchdown, junior quarterback Eddie Hahn threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to wideout John Portela and senior lineman Dan Wilen recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown as the Caseys built a 41-0 lead at halftime. Junior Dylan Murphy added a 26-yard touchdown run, junior Mike Wilen had a 74-yard score, and freshman Nick Brusca ran for his first varsity touchdown.
