Sophomore running back Jake Croce had a huge game with 285 yards of offense and five touchdowns as Point Boro rolled to a 41-0 victory over Barnegat on Friday night to clinch the Shore Conference Patriot Division championship.

Croce ran for 223 yards and four touchdowns on 12 carries and caught two passes for 62 yards and a touchdown. He had touchdown runs of 59, 44, 16, and 63 yards and hauled in a 38-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Charlie Vitale. Junior running back Connor Cilento added a 34-yard touchdown run and finished with 78 yards rushing on just five carries as the Panthers piled up 447 yards of offense.

Junior linebackers JJ Bennet and Tyler Gordon each recorded nine tackles and junior defensive ends Connor Reynolds and Aiden Ward had two sacks each to lead the defense.

The Panthers now have a 5-0 record and are one of six undefeated teams remaining in the Shore Conference. They will wrap up their regular-season schedule on Saturday with a road game at Monmouth Regional (5-1).
